Sweet Girl - I found you on accident scrolling through. I want to first say how sorry I am that this is the path that you are walking right now. I lost my Daddy to leukemia 7 years ago. The pain doesn't go away, but it does get better.
Second, I believe that God uses bad things in our life to draw us closer to Him. Lean on the Lord and give Him your weakness and sorrow. Only God can heal your soul. ❤

My beautiful baby... I love you so much. I've known you since you were 13 years old, and to have watched you grow up these past 13 years has been not only an honor, but a highlight of my life. I couldn't imagine what my life would be like without your influence, and I wouldn't dare to try.
And I'm only a friend. That's why I can say I know your father is so proud of you, and loves you so much. You bring love, life and light into every room, every conversation, every heart. You have always been a beacon of joy, a reason to smile, and a pillar of strength. That strength inside of you is something I've always admired, and always hoped you would never need.
And now, with all this happening all at once, you are forced to be strong. It can be so draining and painful, especially when that strength feels like it's already dwindling and you're at wits end.
    So it's our turn.
Jake is such an incredible man, and you are both lucky and a blessed to have each other. Let him be your strength.
I'm alright, not as great as him I know, but I'm only a couple hours away. And always ready for a phone call. Let me be your strength.
Your mother, Jake's family, all your friends and loved ones, are in your life because they are incredible people with big hearts and caring souls... let them be your strength.
You are not alone, my beautiful baby, you are never alone. And you are not done. It's okay to rest, and it's okay to lean on others for support.
And when your strength has come back -and I promise you, it will- you can be that delightfully independent-but-also-loves-helping-everyone-to-the-point-you-almost-depend-on-it woman again.
Your Sugar Momma loves you, so very much.
P.S. Please keep posting. I want to hear more stories about the amazing man that helped raise such an incredible woman.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I lost my dad on August 16, 2016. We found out in February that year he had stage 4 lung cancer. He started treatment and made it only 6 months. Worst thing I have lived through to date and I’m 52.

I lost my dad to pancreatic cancer too. He lived 3 weeks after diagnosis. Like your dad he had just retired as well and my mom was only 57. I’m so very sorry, it’s so difficult and unfair. You’ll always carry him in your heart.

Sending love and prayers for strength and healing. I lost my Mom in 2021 and the grieving process has taught me so much about myself and what is really important. It is hard when life events get derailed and don’t go like we hope or expect. Be patient with yourself and your life. I am learning to surrender to what is and letting go of how I wanted it to be. Be blessed. ❤

I've always said when you're selecting a good husband or wife, pick someone who will take you to the bathroom! As for your father's dying, no words can adequately describe how awful it is to witness a parent's passing. That memory will fade with time, just remember your dad as he was, strong and obviously full of love for you.

My dad passed away ( in Canada) from liver cancer about one year after diagnosis. I am sorry for your loss, i know how difficult the process is ( i was in denial the entire time before his death always telling myself he would survive). I wanted to let you know my dad's hospice doctor told me that based on everything she experienced as a hospice doctor, that consciousness survives death. She did not say this because she was religious. She was very bright, she was an anaesthesiologist before becoming a hospice doctor. Many hospice workers come to think that there is more after death based on what they experienced during their work being around those who are end of life. My writing this obviously does not bring your dad back, or ake your pain disappear, but know that his consciousness may not have ended after his death.

I am so sorry for your loss. My father has this form of cancer and it has attached to his bones. He had a lot of pain in his bones and we are working to manage this as much as possible. It truly is a journey. All you can do is take one day at a time for now.

Firstly I am so sorry about the loss of your father. It’s very sad to loose your father so so young. It doesn’t help when you’re dealing with a broken health system. You have been through a lot. I think it’s important to speak out about our health systems and its failures and maybe it may help you to talk about your experience as it is so traumatic when watching a loved one navigate a system when they are at the end of their life. I’m a nurse and our system is broken here in New Zealand too and I’ve watched many families go through so much extra heartache and stress due to the very institution that is meant to be there in their time of need, it’s very disappointing. It was lovely of you to go and collect your dad and be that support for him and your mum. Pancreatic cancer is such a horrible cancer and takes its host so quickly. I’m sorry you had to go through that, it’s difficult to watch a parent pass away like that. Been there myself. I hope your mum is doing ok and it’s so very unfair that they had such a wonderful dream to retire together and for this to happen, life is incredibly cruel and unfair. I also understand how frustrating it is to be a very independent and active person and then you injure yourself, I broke my back in multiple places in a fall and life hasn’t been the same since, it’s really frustrating to have to rely on others or not be able to do the things you are used to doing, it makes you go crazy. A lot of bad things all in a row for you and that’s soul destroying. Sometimes these kinds of accidents are gods way of intervening, I truly believe in Devine intervention. I know it must be very disappointing and it’s also very hard when you are going through so much, then your dream and start to your new marriage doesn’t go the way you planned. But maybe it just happens at a later date and when you are in a better frame of mind to enjoy it more. I’m so sorry you have been through such a terrible time, you almost get too afraid to relax as you are just waiting for the next bad thing to happen when things just seem to keep on snowballing. I’m glad your dad was able to spend your special day with you, what a blessing. Sending you and your family my condolences and sending you healing, love and strength ❤ you seem like such a beautiful soul. Lots of incredible moments are awaiting you, it’s just the start of the best years of your life, being married gives us a sense of security and purpose and I wish you all the happiness in the world lovely lady. ❤🐝❤️🌈🙏🇳🇿💕✌️🐳⭐️ hugs

I’m so sorry about the loss of your dear dad. Both of my parents are gone now, so I do understand what it feels like to not have them here anymore. Regardless of your age, you do feel a bit as if you’ve been orphaned or something similar. And I do know that pancreatic cancer is a particularly tough cancer to fight. I think because it’s not usually found until it’s hit late stages. There’s just no good test yet, like mammogram or colonoscopy. I hope one day they’ll come up with one! Then on top of everything your fall and double wrist fractures. This part will pass. They will heal and before you know it that accident will feel like it was a long time ago. In the meantime, love on your new hubby and your dear mom. Do what your doctors tell you. And wait it out. Our bodies are pretty amazing at repairing broken bones. I hope the next 60 years goes smooth as silk, you all deserve it. Many blessings for a long and healthy, happy life!
