I think it was the fact the he wasn’t mad about losing the skull. In terms of money it isn’t that much, and the game should never be about the spoils. Some great pirates honouring the code there!
Its really great. Me and another crew when it came out were viscously fighting until they sold it off and it just became 2 crews congratulating each other for the fight and drinkin grog.

I think they mentioned that you get a good amount of XP for the flag youve got in the next Update so you have a "reason" to do it again. But if its less than a Level for guild/athena etc. i dont see anyone doing it.
@@dasgericht7347 It’s finally going to start counting towards guild xp levels so i can only hope guild boats fight for it now

And yes only new players do siren song now because it's completely uncontested. The reason why I personally quit it is because I couldn't stand the fast respawn. On release I was sinking 4 boats and they would still all come back for me, that's just not fun at all. They should've removed that feature since every server has siren song already... or rather make siren song a lot rarer (like fofs) but keep the close respawn feature.

I found a siren skull just floating in the ocean once. I knew it was a pvp item that was notorious for bringing the really sweaty players, so despite my friends wanting to keep it, I threw it off the boat.
In all fairness, they were making me operate a brig by myself and they weren't good at pvp. They didn't even know I dropped the skull off at an island intil 2 hours later when we cashed in.
I feel bad for that betrayal in day 1 but that’s sea of thieves for you

Most of the around 40 skulls we have were uncontested. Sometimes we keep the quest active just to monitor if there are others doing it too... Mostly nothing happens. My assumption is that it's too common and the frequency should be way lower.
Other than that the concept is great

Also speaking of stories. i had a buddy hop off, I took out a brig pretty hard solo after they slammed i to a rock at a FoF, and little while later I invited one of my other buddys, first thing I said to him was “oh yeah by the way, that level 5 reaper galleon? Don’t shoot it, they’re with me.” him: “the what!?!?”
How I managed to ally with a lvl 5 reaper galleon is beyond me but I bet few can say that 😂

Sigy is so underrated creator of this game. I think that Sigy has become a Legend of Sea of Thieves, an icon and should have cooperation with the game studio itself. He promotes it on a larger scale than anyone else!
