@@Bredemann100 Gvardiol's and Silva's goals would have not gone in against Courtois but let's not forget Courtois at Lunin's age was taking in CR7's free kicks from 35m and getting lobbed from 20m+ (by CR7 during his ATM days) away, got nutmegged consistently and during his first RM season was taking in shots at the first post consistently. Lunin has a great career ahead but should definitely move from RM, at least 3-4 years Courtois isn't going anywhere.
He played a great game but feel sad for Lunin cause he helped Madrid all the way to the final just so courtois could get all the glory at the end.

I like how Thibaut is just… Confident lol… Like he is not one for humbleness. Goalkeepers are generally more humble because it is a position that is always prone to mistakes, but not him. He thinks and knows that he’s the best, and haters cant say anything against it.
He is the greatest GK today, and if only he has joined us much earlier in Ronaldo and Bale era and won several more UCLs with them, he could be in the talks of the greatest goalkeeper in history.

Do you know how crazy it is to say in a CL final "the saves were not too difficult for me today"? This guy's a girafe but he's like a cat with his reflexes & how he jumps, his spring in his jump to get down or jump at fast speed while having great reflexes is underrated. There are goals that you can never save but there are no goals that Courtois can't prevent, top corner at high speed or close instinctual sweeping?
He’s so big yet so athletic it’s crazy. Like i feel like in that one on one adeyemi saw how big he was in goal and lowkey just panicked and courtois just took advantage of that.

But it’s true! Every shot was at him, he barley had to move to save those shots. The biggest save of the night was him pushing Adeyemi to the side. If he saved fulkrug offside header then I’ll see what a save but the rest of the shots was poor by Dortmund

this is kind of cool situation. i know that "humility" is pushed on in modern society as some sort of virtue, but having someone like courtois who is so confident that he is legit bordering arrogance is very refreshing. he is like "yeah, coming back wasn't too hard, this is what i do after all". he is talking about coming back from season long injury into actually the most important game in football while missing the entire UCL campaing. i love this dude. team always needs one person like him.
He is extremely confident. I would guess that is one of the most important traits in a GK.

He has been one of the best for a long time. I remember Real Madrid vs. Atletico Madrid 2014 Champions League final, I hated his guts because he was so good. But for him, Real Madrid would have buried Atletico sooner than they did.

I think Lunin is great but Thibaut as a substitute keeper because of his injuries just basically proved to everyone he’s still thibaut motherfucking courtois. The best in his position. Once again coming up massive not just physically lol. He carried that team when madrid was trash in the first half. Kept us going. I love what Lunin has done for us this season but that’s Thibaut Courtios for you.
Not comparable. Thibaut had a enough time to prepare for this one final match while Lunin played 2-3 times a week this spring. Still Borussia had few moments where they just got off luck to lead that final. Lunin should go and find himself another club where he can be appreciated, 5 years in RM as substitute in his prime is too long for a top class gk.

Shame for Lunin but Courtois was always the one that should play if he can of course. However we are always grateful for Lunin for what he did against Leipzig, City and Bayern. Here's how I see next season playing out, ideally, although it still depends on Ancelotti, who tends to play the same lineup most of the time. Considering we have 7 competitions next season, Courtois will play the big games (i.e., UCL, La Liga, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup), while Lunin will handle the less prioritized matches (i.e., Copa Del Rey, Spanish Super Cup, FIFA Intercontinental Cup).

For those who kept saying Lunin should've started final, Lunin didn't play not because of flu, it's because the best goalie in the word the back, regardless of flu. Had Lunin played today, Marid would've been down 1-2 goals by half time, then Madrid would've won regardless, just like how Lunin allowed B Silva near post free kick or Sane near post, Madrid always comes back and wins. So for those who keep saying Lunin "carried" Madrid final, Madrid got there DESPITE Lunin mistakes. Thank goodness Lunin didn't play today and Madrid was able to keep a clean sheet because of that.

As a Belgian we all know how full Courtois is of himself. He loves himself a bit too much at times. Honestly Lunin got them there. Some credit to him wouldn’t have hurt Thibaut. Notice how every time Courtois talks, he will point out some of the great things he did. That said most of it is deserved. But I’d love to see him a little bit more humble. Nevertheless 2 fantastic keepers.
