    Wolves have sacked head coach Gary O'Neil after defeat at home to Ipswich on Saturday, Sky Sports News understands.
    The dramatic 2-1 loss at Molineux, which was followed by a scuffle that saw Rayan Ait-Nouri pulled away from the pitch, left Wolves 19th in the Premier League table.

      I’ve not got a clue what’s going on at my club. All the sales have been because of trying to keep within FFP regulations. But we have clawed millions back and I’m thinking surely we have gotten within the regulations? I do think O’Neil should’ve been given longer because the man is working with signing cheap scraps or the players that he inherited - those of which who haven’t already left. He needed a chance with a proper budget but our board clearly doesn’t think so anymore

    Owners done him no favours whatsoever. Everything he was eluding to in his last interview was correct. Fact is, they keep selling their best players and not replacing them. Doesn't matter how good of a coach you are, if you don't have the quality of players required, its going to be tough. He alluded to which players are obviously the quality required. 2 seasons ago at Wolves you could of named 4 or 5 more than the ones he named, in terms of genuine PL quality players. If I was a manager, I wouldnt be in a rush to take the Wolves job unless I was desperate, tbh. From the outside looking in, it seems like the owners will happily sell key members of your side as soon as they see fit.

      @steway89 Месяц назад

      Kilman was replaced from within by an arguably better centre back, Mosquera, who'd been sent out on development loans and had a successful season at Villarreal last season. Neto can't be replaced, he is a completely unique player, but we signed 3 forward players, two wingers in Forbs and Gomes and a number 9 (which we were desperate for) in Strand Larsen. Outsiders are just regurgitating the same old rubbish O'Neil used as an excuse and perpetuated by the media. Fact check.

    • @OrangeNash
      @OrangeNash Месяц назад

      His last interview was self-serving nonsense. He said we'd done all we could when losing 2-1 to Ipswich. In the 2 matches since, those same players have shown that with a bit of organisation and not having misery guts Gary O'Fail talking them down every match, 2 wins, 0 goals conceded. So what he said was utter rubbish.

    All those who wanted Nuno sacked...hows it going now? Nuno and some of the Players that played under him are doing well, Gibbs White, Jota, Jimenez, Traore to name a few. When the wheels came off under Nuno,we were in no danger of being relegated. Was just a rough patch. Now, we lose another good Manager that had both hands tied behind his back. Even if we manage to pull off one of the greatest escapes in PL history, we'll be back at the bottom next Season at Xmas if we've still got the same owners.

      Bournemouth and Wolves improved once Gary O'Fail and his endless list of excuses for his poor management were kicked out of their clubs. Actually, yes, Everton would be good for him as it gives Wolves a better chance of staying up and Everton going down! But even though Everton are a bit of a shambles, I don't think they are that daft as to employ a serial failure hyped up by his mates in the media. Surely they learnt that lesson appointing Lampard?

If you ask a car mechanic to fix a car with a spoon, regardless of the qualities of that mechanic your car will not be fixed. Gary needed to go for himself and Wolves but the issue is far far deeper.

    • @OrangeNash
      @OrangeNash Месяц назад

      ... is the correct answer. As any sensible Wolves supporter who watched us become more of a shambles over time under O'Neil will know. It's no surprise that getting a manager who can do the basics and we have improved 500% virtually overnight. The negativity O'Neil spouted about the players for months was insufferable and he did it to cover his own failings. Bad judgement by the pundits who have fallen for it, too. SHows how little they know about anything outside the Big 6.

Wolves player dealing is little different to Palace, Bournemouth, Brentford, Fulham, Brighton etc. The *all* have to sell their best players to the richest clubs. Yet they don't flop to 19th. Wheres' the investment? 2 Brazilian internation midfielders. A Brazilian forward who is currently one of the best players in the league. A young Norwegian striker. Ait Nouri, wing back coveted by many elite clubs. .. so on and so on. Ask Bournemouth fans, they know the truth too, that O'Neil is an awful manager. How he stayed so long, winning just 3 matches in 30, is probably because he gets a free pass from pundits who don't seem to have a clue about clubs outside the Sky 6. They all repeat his excuses.

    Wolves board need to take responsibility why give him a 5 year contract at the start of the season … I’m not GON fan but should of been given time , they have a good squad and shouldn’t be near the bottom from AFC Bournemouth fan

    He’s a good manager the ownership took his players away. He will get another job deserves it. Southampton like wolves haven’t bought well. They amazingly made it to premiership but didn’t buy. David Moyes or big Sam? I think Southampton are cooked. But there are pieces with wolves. Ipswich I don’t see making it either. You have blow the bank and sign amazing players these haven’t really hence they are where they are

      We literally did though. Mosquera came back from multiple development loans after a great season for Villarreal in La Liga to replace Kilman. Neto was irreplaceable but we signed 2 new wingers and a number 9 with the money we got for him. You're spouting the rubbish excuse from O'Neil without fact checking it.
