    Just a little trick, if you guys remember first order levers, fulcrum etc use that while playing meend. Use your lefthand thumb while playing meend, it will provide more strenght to the index and middle finger. you can't see his finger from this angle.
    The way you use the left hand thumb for playing sapat is different form that of meend. Experiment with it a little.

      Scientifically speaking yes,
      it will give better support, balance, strenght, clarity, allows you to play for longer time without hurting etc for right hand. Just that he has so much practice and these lessons he is playing is simple for him it doesn't make much difference.
