Doug was born in 1935, he was just 3 months short of his 60th birthday at the time of his death on February 5th, 1995.

We enjoyed the Virginian in Ireland too, great series.
One of my favorite is when Trampas , encounters a small Mexican boy who is well armed and has a little sister to protect. Trampas, doesn't take him serious until he realize the kid has real bullets. Anyway of course there's a happy ending.
He was so handsome and loved.
Trampas had his heart broken semi weekly, but he always bounced back by the next episode. I have always loved him. I don’t like the bushy haired Trampas though.

No, he sadly passed away at age 59 from cancer on February 5th, 1995. Inducted into the Hall of Great Western Performers on April 12th, 2014. As one of the people who campaigned for it, I was there and met his family. He would have been 87 on May 11th.
