I Give You Thanks & New Heart

This is a performance by me, Austin Patty (voice and violin), and by the amazing Dr. ChoEun Lee (piano) at First Blooms Coffee and Bakery on November 19, 2022.
I wrote "I Give You Thanks" for Thanksgiving 2022 and finished it two days before this performance; its words are drawn from the Psalms. I wrote the melody and lyric for "New Heart" several years ago, but wrote the piano accompaniment this fall. If you listen hard, you can hear my son, Gregory singing along with this one.
I am so grateful to ChoEun for agreeing to perform these songs with me on extremely late notice. Even though I gave her the music less than 24 hours previous to the performance, she brought them to life with energy and musicality. Despite the sorry excuse for a keyboard (at least one key (C3) was not working), ChoEun took it all in stride. Nothing could keep her from working her musical magic.
