Remember the one episode where Skeletor tricks He-man into thinking he killed a man? He-man is overcome with so much remorse that he gets rid of the power sword and for the first and only time he transforms back into Prince Adam on screen! Albeit we aren't treated to the same light show as he becomes He-man, he merley says let the power return and He-man becomes Adam again. 🗡⛈🏰💀

    Hi James,
I always love your Masters of the Universe commentaries especially as the show is so dear to me. I like this episode, especially because Evil-Lyn gets a prominent roll.

Yeah this was a pretty good episode. I think I saw it for the first time at my piano teacher's house. Her kids were big fans of He-man and while we waited our turn we'd watch TV in the living room (which had the front door to the outside while the piano room was off to the side in another room with a door).

"Cringer is transformed into Battle Cat."
"And I have the power, too!"
And I like the sword Skeletor uses.

We actually get two very brief sword fights with He-man in this episode. I understand why it wasn't done a lot, but as a kid i always wished we saw him in more sword duels.

I really remember this episode. At the time I didn't think it was so dark. But when you pointed out the ancient inhumane laws. Yeah that was dark and the mention of death. I really thought that this was a line. Kids programming at that time in the '80s didn't cross.
So another enjoyable commentary there especially pointing out all those animation mistakes.

Something else. When Skeletor projects the image of the Palace and trouble they find themselves with his havoc staff. The stock footage was always showing the crystal ball projecting magic or a ray. Instead we see the ram.

Imagine if you will if the creeping horrak was brought back in another adaptation as a technorganic virus.

I'd say Jamie, that much like Ghostbusters and Ninja Turtles, the first season or two are always more edgy and have more fan based lore, then the TV stations out their "improvements" in as the fans move away onto the next thing

Marc Scott Zicree has a VHS tape in his closet of the TMS pilot film for the 1980s Star Wars cartoons. (TMS didn't get the gig; Lucasfilm chose Nelvana instead.)
    ruclips.net/video/xqaFppb3y-U/видео.html
I understand that Zicree can't release this publicly without getting sued into bankruptcy (especially now that Disney owns Star Wars), but I hope he has been transferring this video periodically so it isn't lost.

03:36 You called Orko, Gorpo, whoops. :D But that's easy to understand as you were talking about his name before it got revised. Also noticed a bit of recycling from your all ready existing commentary for the official He-Man RUclips channel in regards to Evil-Lyn's spell. ;) Though a lot has been recycled from that commentary. ;) I'm surprised Teela didn't reveal Evil-Lyns disguise by saying 'Emot emoc', but it wouldn't have been as cool looking without the bowler (I think that might be spelt wrong) :( Yes, this episode will live n in infamy over the fact that Eternians were suffocated to death in the past, pretty gruesome stuff and I certainly am NOT a fan of asphyxiation. Though that's also partially thanks to other shows like Gundam Wing as well. Do keep up the good work as always :)

You missed the mistake towards the start where Man-At-Arms hands go from green to flesh color.
