Unfortunately I'm not a coal miner anymore I did it for 7 years and there is so much I dont know about the job but it was the best job I've ever had! I actually loved going to work. The people and what I did underground was the best seven years I've ever worked and probably ever will . Thanks for watching my video
My grandfather raised 3 kids, paid for his one house and bought a new pickup every 5 years with cash on a coal miners pay. Mined underground for 38 years. His friends were friends for life. The hardest working guys you will ever meet. They worked hard because your life, and the men with you depended on it. It was his calling. It fit him like a glove and he was good at it. Fortunately he lived another 30 years after retirement even though he had black lung. 1000 stories he had. Many bad...but mostly good.
Excellent! I grew up in Southern Indiana. Wow, one never forgets home… I swear I’ve seen some of these guys bellied up at the bar in old Boyd’s Tavern, Elberfield.
What would someone like me with no mining experience need to do, to get a job in mining? I have construction and auto motive back ground. Wouldn't be hard for me to figure out. I have worked 12 hour days in hot and cold. I also live in Indiana.
I am tired to eat only Doliprane no Cancer fear my death .my life must be fun not Doliprane days after days learn cancer business owners papers factory s
Why are coal miner's so unfriendly? If someone wants to know something about your job it maybe that's all they want is to know what you go through in a day . No one wants to take your jobs or benefits but to get cussed out for asking a question is about the same level as taking away a two year old child's toy.
