This really hit me today because yes, you can be a person who has a spouse and children, has a job, belongs to a church, belongs to various groups, etc yet feels completely lonely on a daily basis. Me. This was me. If anyone looked at my life they would have said that I probably had a pretty good life. My life was full and very busy. But when I went home every night, I sat in a chair and cried.
But even in the local church, it's so hard being a single Christian with no children. As an older person, never married, no children, there are so few times that married people stop talking about their spouses, children and grandchildren. It never fails to surprise me when people say you're really quiet during these ad neauseum conversations about their family. I love my friends, and their families, but i have nothing to add during these conversations.
The phones have created isolation and destroyed synchronicities. Like when walking in the neighborhood and a person has earbuds in and has canceled out synchronicity encounters.

I read recently that a Christ centered church isn't a showcase for saints but a hospital for sinners. How badly are hospitals needed by us all at times? I love this topic today, I believe more people are lonely than ever. Thank you for showing the most important place we need to turn, to our Savior!
I can relate so much to this episode! I am married but I feel very lonely. I’m 50 yrs old and have tried getting connected in our church for years and nothing has come of it. I’ve given up. My husband can be next to me yet I feel the most lonely when he’s here. He comes home and goes straight to our room to watch tv. We don’t have any similar interests anymore. My heart aches every single day for someone to be close to. I haven’t given up on praying for community but I feel so defeated! It’s been 15 years.
I love listening to you all ! Your hearts are so genuine and that is so important , as you said in the world we live in today ! My boys , who are grown have shied away from church because of things that happened in the church, things they witnessed as young children, teenagers , from not just from other people but their own family . I pray for them everyday that their hearts would be turned to Christ and that the hurts will be healed ! I’ve seen the start of restoration in all 3 of them , and now that they have children of their own it’s so important for them to live a life that will teach their children how to cope and lean on Jesus for everything! Thank you for what you are sharing !! ❤
NEVER stop praying sweet Momma! My parents prayed for me for many, many years before I turned back to God-where I belonged. I had to hit my absolute lowest before seeing with clarity & now with my own adult children I know the agony they went through watching me daily. (We stayed close so they saw my daily life.) I have never forgotten the joy they had when I came home to Him! We may let go of Him but praise the Lord, He is waiting!
Jinger & Jeremy, I really loved this episode 🙏🏾 Especially when you talked about God, love & the church And how everybody should be excepted no matter what your position is in society. Or how much money you make. Or how the gifts you were granted with, can only benefit the church. I will continue meditating on the scriptures from 1 John 4 & 5
It’s quite interesting to hear you speak about loneliness. One as a non believer and another as a true believer. For the latter, the truth is… I have no human family. I have my lovely local church. However, 75 percentage of my time is going to the Lord. Literally for everything. I ask Him “what should I do about my neighbours anti social behaviour. Can you help me Lord I’m worried about this issue etc etc and he helps me. I open the Bible and he speaks to me. But I must be patient and wait. Loneliness can be Gods plan to bring us closer to him, depend on him, trust in him. It’s lovely to be in a marriage but realistically, it is the Lord we must always run to. As for non believers who are lonely I pray for them. However, I have found that by Gods grace he often gives them a dog to comfort them. How great is our Lords greatness. Let us praise Him for that. Love in the Lord. Pauline
I’ve been married for MANY years and since the elections started I’ve never felt so lonely in my marriage. My husband watches the news all day long so I stay in another room. All he talks about is politics. We are strong Christian’s and attend and attend an adult class at church. I’m in bible study so that helps with some loneliness. It’s sad that outside noise is keeping us from really the enjoying life that God has given us.
Please know you aren’t alone in this. Election years are hard and it’s so easy to panic and obsess and then seek news or opinion-infotainment that confirms beliefs or even biases and soothes our worry. I’ve had a couple relationships that I’ve felt lonely in during elections or heavily sociopolitical/history making times. I don’t have a solution; just wanted you to know you aren’t alone.
I am so lonely. My husband of 28 years, passed away in January. I have 4 children but it’s not the same. Maybe it is an answer to my prayers that I came across your video.
I have a church. They do support me, but I do feel shame, regret, and some judgment from a friend at church. Its a very long story. But much rejection from family, plus 5 yrs past a 10 yr emotionally abusive marriage. Then my dad died 2 yrs ago and my older son and during law sat on the back row of the funeral with me. Yes I am so grateful for that, but so very hurt and humiliated. I pray, I am just living alone now x 5 yrs. Much loneliness. And yes even with people. Yes I praise God. I have a lot of mixed emotions with life. I have my first grandson and I love him so much. I just worry about future. I don't have contact with my mom, nephews, brother, aunts and uncles..not my choice. I don't know if I'll ever heal. It's very hard. Thank you for your message and sorry for the long message
I can relate to this on so many levels. I am not consumed or self-absorbed it is because of other things. I could list like 3 or 4 major things right now. Thanks for sharing so good! God Bless you both!
Love the podcast!!! It’s so refreshing to have real conversations about real life situations! We all need Jesus and we all need each other!!!! Love the couch and chair!!!
I think someone mentioned in the last video that it’s hard, just looking at the sides of your face so maybe position the cameras looking directly at the front of your faces when you do the split screens that way it’s just better looking at you know your whole face, but otherwise, I love it I love seeing the two of you and I love your great news that was just shared on the next video
I enjoyed listening to your ideas and suggestions. Agreed with what you said about finding a church that you can attend and find the peace that only God can give. Blessings
I attend Fellows of Huntsville church in Huntsville tx. Our pastor CF Hazelwood is an expository teacher and we go live on RUclips. When I was looking for a church that TAUGHT vs by vs, it was so difficult. I did use the GCC website but FOHC wasn't on the radar. So I wanted to let you know about it incase you get listeners on my neck of the woods. This is farm country. Lots of cowboys that live off the land so you could see why it would be difficult to find a vs by vs teaching around me. Hope this helps. Thank you for your sharing today. God bless you. Love you guys
Hello from Kansas, I truly get blessed when I watch your pod casts😉, you both said about topic's well I have one that can tie in with the topic that you all covered beautifully my topic suggestion is about being home bound which I'm in this situation. I'm married to a wonderful man who supports me and with my lympendma it keeps my mobility very hard with lymphedema comes other health issues I won't bore you with this but I will say that I'm a born again believer in Jesus Christ and having this in my life I'm no longer able to attend church so I worship God daily with my quite time watching my two wonderful ministry's and God has shown me that I can start another group on Facebook for home bound people like myself I had to stop driving so that really makes it hard at time's reaching out to those who are home bound i can share with them how God is using me for Him , so with my rambling this topic of home bound i think is a good one. God bless you Teresa from Kansas
Hey Jinger & Jeremy love yours podcast so much ! Jinger I wanna ask you one questions: do you wear natural fur? ... I sew you in fur on some events and was a bit shoked...
I work from home and live with my parents, so the only people I see and talk to every day are my parents. And I’m very introverted; I get so drained by going out and being around other people. I want to find a husband, but it’s so hard because I have virtually no social battery
I laughed so hard when yall mentioned Alaska. I’m Alaskan and my husband is from Pakistan. Because of my life threatening illness my husband and I haven’t been together in Pakistan for nearly 3 years. His USA visa hasn’t been approved yet so he’s unable to be here with me. It’s true loneliness. We love each other very much but we rely on our relationship with G*d to get us through the loneliness.
Ok love your content, but as someone who lives more than 20 hours further north than Edmonton, dogs and sleds are not used as a mode of transportation. They’re used as a sport, and sometimes for fun, but if we need to get around we use cars and other motor vehicles just like anywhere
My husband lost a child that he had before me and I feel like I lost him then and slowly over the years he has found his way back but it is a lonely place raising kids with a spouse who wants to be but doesn't know how to be present
All 2,000 friends on my facebook are all 1st through 8th and 9th cousins, aunts, uncles, siblings, great aunts and great uncles, etc.... I dont have random people on my social media. I have a huge family. My parents are one of 12 and one of 9 kids. I am one of 6.
I was never lonely when I was married. Husband passed away 5 yrs ago and now I feel very very lonely. It is a very bad existence. I am lonely, I worry about money, and I just cry all the time.
I just have to say I’ve enjoyed watching this episode, our church women’s group is doing study ef I found myself puzzled with a lot of distractions this week and it’s a deep study. You have answered my question that I heard you talking about this topic about the churches and I don’t know why there’s an isolation. I know for myself like Ginger I have felt hurt and questioned, but I come back to the word of God in my life and I’m thankful for the people that have draw me back. The devil has a hold on people, but he has no control.
Jeremy speaks of God “swapping” our sins for Christ’s righteousness, Even though the bible does speak of Christ becoming sin the point is not that Christ has become our sins, but that Christ has offered himself for humanity by taking on a human body. This corresponds to Romans 8:3, which says, “For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do: sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh.” Christ doesn’t just legally expunge our sinful deeds from a ledger as in a legal transaction, but transforms us as we receive his righteousness. We receive God's righteousness when we allow God to apply the effects of Christs sacrifice on the cross to our souls. This includes being baptized and being initially saved, and then living a life of obedience to God and not throwing away the value of Christ’s sacrifice. That’s why Hebrews 10:26-27 says, “For if we sin deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful prospect of judgment.” St. Paul refers to Christ's sacrifice on the cross as the paschal sacrifice.
Wow it's amazing so amazing that you all are so wonderfully perfect that you can tell others how to live their lives. I mean you all are so perfect you learned so much. You are the worst hypocrite s. I know you know something about loneliness. I mean you are just amazing.

I can relate to what you said only I’m not busy anymore with 3 kids long gone and 1 homeschooler left at home ❤️ Keep praying for community.
