Had a good friend of mine on Xbox pass away and I still have his account, and sometimes, just for fun I’ll hop on my old 360, start up MW2, and play some free for fall on his account just like old times. I would just block out everything and focus on hitting trickshots and having fun with my little group of Xbox friends. and i didn't really know people in my school that well, but i knew my trickshotting buddies so well because we would talk from 3 pm to 6 am everyday. i really miss this community, but i wouldn't want it to come back because it would never be the same, and i'm glad i got to be apart of it, and i will always look back at it as the best online video game community.

Bo2 is the game that killed the community, it was when the tryhards started, the maps became playgrounds with 3 simple lanes, me as an old community player stopped playing on Bo2, when cod died to me. Ps: ghosts is the only one I like after bo2

What people don’t understand about trickshotting is that it’s never going to be revived to what it used to be. All the people that made the community have grown up and are living their lives. Sadly, we didn’t help get the newer generation into trickshotting enough and it’s killed it.
This video kills me to watch. Even though it’s a game, all my best friends I used to play with that I didn’t even know irl, I barely had friends in real life but Xbox and PlayStation was a place to go and have unlimited friends. Getting on bo2 and switching between mw2, mw3, bo1, waw. And no matter what have a six man. It’s so heartbreaking to know that it’s not gonna be the same. I wish I could go back to the days where I had no worries. Just school and getting home to play cod. And grinding in the holidays.
Nostalgia is the best drug honestly. Enjoy it. I guarantee I’ll be here in 5-10 years time with the same feeling.

I actually got depressed watching this so this is to help people who feel the same. We have all had the greatest times of our lives playing this game as children not knowing anything about the world, but since we’ve grown up we have to realise that some things are meant to end. Let’s all just take pride in what we’ve experienced and never forgot the moments we lived, don’t use it as a negative thing, use it as motivation to move forward in our lives. One day we’re all going to be working men, with families to take care of, and we will remember these moments and smile. Let the people play it if they want, let the people move on if they want, all that matters is that we were all once a community, and that never should be looked down upon. I was apart of this era. And it was great of course. The call of duty golden era was untouchable. But fortnites golden era was just as good. And probably untouchable for them when they grow up and look back on it. Do you know how many people hated trickshotters and gave out about how ridiculous and childish it is? Reminiscing on halo 3- anything prior to that bullshit? Throw a song over some trickshotting and everyone starts crying. It’s all to do with what you grew up with, the past will always seem better than today because of nostalgia of our childhood. But really today has just as good of games, and fortnites golden era had 5x more concurrent players than cod ever had.

im a freshman in college.. a lot has changed between now and then. these were my middle school memories. sometimes i feel like of all my friends that i played with back then im the only one to look back at this and notice that me as a person hasnt changed much. im still smiling and i really do miss being a kid. these videos and songs remind me of cod, skating, and day dreaming of cars & whatnot, great times.

Different community, the old teams died out and were forgotten. It is what it is I guess. In my opinion cod started going downhill with Ghosts.

I started trickshotting and playing claw at 11, when mw2 was the popular game. I’m now 18 and I just want to say that these were the best times of my life, I’m glad to say I played the game and don’t regret it. Lol

This makes me so happy/sad. I remember getting home from tennis practice, going down to the basement and hopping on MW2/Black Ops and getting on voice bro we would have like 10 dudes in a party. Damn. Now I have to wake up at 5am for work

I'm thankful for the way my 14th birthday played itself out. At first, I wanted the game 'WatchDogs", but my Mom said it was too vulgar. So on a whim, I ended up purchasing Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 with my 60$ birthday budget instead. I never realized what this would do for me; I never realize that I'd keep playing it until I got all my guns diamond, and even build up a small PubStomping clan that I ran for 2 years. I never realized that I'd end up getting bored of following the rules in this game, and pursue a more creative style of playing, which would lead me to Trickshotting. I never realized how big of a community I was really putting myself into, and I never realized how big of an impact it would have on me now that I see this same exact community, as a ghost town...
I'm thankful for all of the COD games from 2008 to 2013, I really am. I'm thankful for all of the anger it brought me. I'm thankful for all of the rage quitting, laggy servers, squeakers, modders, cheaters, hackers, campers, last killers, and lag switchers. I'm thankful for all of the shit talking, and all of the name calling. Because along with it came amazing communities, a vast majority of trickshotters, trickshotting teams, and trickshotting based channels on RUclips. Along with it came laughter, bonds, happiness, relationships, camaraderie, E - Girls, and pure euphoria. Along with it came staying up all night trying to hit clips with your friends from Australia, and sharing amazing moments with your buddies from all around the Globe. Along with it came LITERAL HOUSES that trickshotting teams would purchase to share these moments... Together.
Who knows what else we could've manifested from just a simple series of shooter games. I've always had the idea to create a hotel/ residence for fellow gamers (Specifically COD trickshotters) to meet up and live together for a long/short period of time. Although these moments are over, and although this idea ever so slowly fades from my consciousness, I'm still proud to say that I was there for these day. These are the memories that I'm going to annoying my Grand kids with talking about all the time, as cringey as that sounds. I used to fantasize about making fancy, exquisite, and just all around amazing trickshotting movies with VFX editing (Like the Pamaj movie). But I was having too much fun in the moment, and that purpose was never contested.

@@might4383 Makes me want to cry too. It *IS* just a game, but it really isn't the game that we cry over. It's the unrecoverable moments we've had in the game that cause these emotions. I'm proud to say I was there to experience the ride.
Swrvv never in my life have i seen so many different comments that i feel connected to. these games have brought so many people together and it is just amazing, i feel like i can say i love you all and not feel out of place.

If yall want my honest opinion i personally believe Trickshotting would still be around if standards wasnt a thing, because way back then a trickshot was a trickshot, it didnt matter how many spins or how basic or conplex it was.
That and the developers of the new cods dont support trickshotting
Fake clips also ruined it all, which sorta contributed to the unreasonable standards, but everyone stopped caring if clips were faked or not. Sorta dug itself into a grave

Crazy man looking back, to when I was 9-15!playing COD going for trick shots, quad feeds and just being in the lobby with people I thought were closer than my IRL friends, just playing laughing and enjoying ourselves. We can’t go back to those days but we can remember them and enjoy them

I honestly miss being 10 years old and running a cod community page on Instagram. I had dreams of being the youngest member to join FaZe and refused to listen to anyone who tried to tell me it wasn’t possible. I never thought I’d be so touched by a cod montage...

Man i do remember these days, I were a sniper back in the day, did the occasional trickshotting but this sure does take me back to the good times. It will never be the same again but we can always appreciate all the good memories we made along the way
I miss these days so much. Coming home from school and getting straight onto the xbox. Getting a six man, trying to hit clips together. Starting clans, trying to hit the best clips and have people who would actually watch. Working towards joining the popular clans. I was having the time of my life and I never even knew it.

I still remember my first ever proper trick shot. BO2, Raid, off the side of the map on that stair case with the glass panes on it closest to the garage, y’all know the place. Shock charge stun, jumped off, instaswap from the kap 40 to the DSR while doing multiple spins and then boom, final kill of the SND Match, the entire lobby went crazy and lost it. Those seriously were the good days.
RIP BO2 online. Can’t jump into a match without a “Jiggy” player being in there now, if you know, you know.

It’s so sad to see this era of video games is done. I miss Call of Duty and trickshotting with friends I met online. Battle Royales are cool but I’m getting tired of them and they’ll never be able to compare to some of the memories I’ve got on Bo2/Mw3/Mw2. RIP 🙏🏼 amazing video!
