    As a Korean, one thing I appreciate the most is the proximity to Japan. Korean in my age usually have visited Kansai area(including the Airport) more than any other Japanese in same age group(sadly transportation is more expensive for domestic travelers over there). Once you get used to their rings and chimes(and their own rules in transportation), you would find Japan the most efficient place to travel around. That Rapid train is more familiar to me, especially since that has been my last place to have a meal before finishing my one-day trip from Seoul. Looking forward to seeing the following review from Japan, especially the Hokuriku area, which is my favorite region even within Japan.

    I had no idea that there was a Jeju Air airline company (at 3:55). Jeju is a very cool island off the southern tip of South Korea. There are dozens of flights per day between Seoul (Inchon and the older Gimpo) and Jeju and also many more from other cities on the mainland. Absolutely worth a visit or even a day trip if you're ever in Korea.

    • @tfft
      @tfft Месяц назад +1

      I simply had restrictions on hand baggage. Most Asian carriers are so strict bc there’s an expectation that crew WILL help and so this ensures it’s a reasonable weight.
      If a low cost airline would sell a big tag that said “yes my carry on is 38 pounds and no I don’t need help” for the same price as a checked in bag, I’d be happy to pay.

    Interestingly for the Jetstar Japan group they would have to be sent down to Melbourne because the parent airline has an academy there this is to ensure that they have the same standards as the parent Airline. You also see this in AirAsia Philippines their crews are trained in the parent company academies in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. otherwise both Jetstar Japan and AirAsia Philippines wouldn't have the same quality as the parent airline based in Australia and Malaysia. For the Nankai Train how were you able to pay for it my guess you used a Suica Card and then refilled that using an Icoca machine? Excellent trip report overall and what you could have done from where you started before this trip NRT-KIX which was NRT-BKK. You could have also tried PR730/731 & then PR407/408 or PR411/412 BKK🇹🇭-MNL🇵🇭-KIX🇯🇵 that would be an alternative to this routing. Keep in mind both BKK-MNL & MNL-KIX have their loads 90% Filipinos the other 10% are Americans just like you followed by Japanese and Thai. My mother did that last year

    As a North American-based traveler, weighing carry-on bags is literally foreign to me. It also makes little sense as one can loophole it by wearing any clothes (as you have) or carrying some items. Why not weight the actual person? Especially for myself as a lighter person vs someone significant heavier than me, why fuss about a few kgs in our bags?

    • @tfft
