I tried to apply for a Rwanda ID immediately after the return of Banyarwandans after the 1994 genocide I was working as a teacher in Rwanda two times applying they said I don’t qualify because am a Ugandan citizen, therefore Ugandans please let us protect our country because every country protects it’s own boarders.

Even here in uk , if a child is born in uk to both Ugandan citizen they are Ugandans and cannot become a British citizen even if they are born in uk. If both parents if Ugandan citizen have an indefinite stay in uk and are in process of becoming British citizen, the baby will have the same status of indefinite stay and have to apply to citizenship along side the parents.
I think this citizenship issue needs to be referred back to the parliament and revisit how the 😊1995 law was twisted to rule the Rwandase discrimination
1995 constitution favored rwandese because in 1926 you weren't even included in the 15 indegenous tribes of uganda.if u arenot among the 15 as per 1926 constitution states it,please go slow.Should we consider sudanese as a tribe in uganda too??

There is a group of people who are born in busoga in the regions of Jinja,iganga. Bugiri. Kamuli. The mother is musoga and the ground mother is musoga but the father is Arab. Are those people Ugandans or not. Kindly advise. Should such group of people apply for ugandan passport?

But it was done by them to favor them.ugandans werent behind it.The constitution we know is 1926 that talks about the 15 regions that make up uganda. They are well stated at the parliament. If u dont fall in those fifteen,automatically you arent uganda.kano ka constitution ka 1995 tebakesibako kubanga bebakakola kwelimbika mubanauganda and it can be changed by future regimes just the way they tampered with it in 1995 .Passport is just a document that can be validated and invalidated by seating government

Our law is not taught enough in school and it is up to anyone to learn about it which leaves a lot of gaps.
According to the tribes mentioned in this law here, some are not known to the common man like the 'shana', yet many others we are aware of are not mentioned.
The case of 'Abavandimwe' or Banyarwanda is outspoken due to the influence of the people, as many other communities view them as a threat.
Yet these are people who have been here since before Independence. And Mr Gashumba has not lied,my own brother was given a hard time before getting his National ID because of his physical traits, as they claimed he was posing as a Ugandan. The case went to the RDC's office only to ask for him to bring his father as evidence. And it turned out the RDC knew who our father is and still doubted our citizenship.
We have to accept that discrimination is a thing and it is not about being too loud like they say Banyarwanda are, if the ethnic name has to be changed in the constitution, so be it, though making it hard for them just because, is not reason enough.
