This was me in 2010-2012 when i was a newbie in the faith... was celibate for 6 years and would celebrate my born again anniversaries. Very much on fire for God. After 13 years, I question if I am still saved. Life happens, you know.... lies I lowkey told myself (my purity journey will lead me to my God ordained husband) heartbreaks here and there, now a single mom. (my job is God ordained) in a very very well-paying job but it kills me everyday to be away from my own family and social support in the name of making bank. Loss and pain that led me to question if this God is real. Years of silence from God (we call them the wilderness years). Facebook memory prompts make me cringe and wonder what high was i on to talk about my faith. When i see Chep, it reminds me of myself and i feel like a jaded employee in the workplace and here comes an excited intern with big dreams. I feel like she is in the honeymoon phase of faith and i feel like telling her, we ngoja tu, let's talk in a few years or when life happens and you can't hear God. Still on my faith journey though, relying on God to carry me because i am wounded and God is STILL good.

Thanks for sharing you story and journey. The wilderness journey can truly be tough and moments of doubting God's goodness and faithfulness in this journey of salvation are bound to come as we go through trials and temptations.
But I pray that God will find and meet you right where you are. In our confusion, questions, doubts, sins or mess...God's grace is still sufficient! And yes God is able to sustain us in our faith beyond the "honeymoon" phase...only by His grace and mercy, it is possible to walk and fully love God during our time here on earth. Be encouraged!

This was so empowering. My take home was to always pray for God to convict me and for me to take charge and guard my heart.
