- It's awesome to make some progress. I definitely miss having a project to tinker on. There will be updates left and right so stay tuned! Once I get the right tires on I'll feel a lot safer driving around. As of now there is a bunch of the lip exposed with no rubber around it and that's gotta change.
Looking Ooohh soo fresh & so clean ..you and the lil one did a heck of a job on the clean up Lou..have a good 4th mane
The Blazer is most definitely looking a lot more Florida now with them sweet wheels and tires on there.
Thanks bro!
I have a 2002 Blazer Xtreme. When I got it, it had a check engine light on for the O2 sensors and misfire. Replaced the O2 sensors and that was like $150 then plugs and plug wires for $100. I don't care what anyone says the only hard part about replacing the plugs is that the middle plug on the drivers side is right behind the steering shaft. just unbolt that and lift the shaft a bit and it comes out with ease. It'll definitely be worth it to get it up and running good. I doubt you have a bad cylinder. I'm sure new plugs, wires and o2 sensors and you'll be running with no problems. The 4.3 is a good motor you just have to do regular maintenance and you won't have any problems.
another thing I would look at is the spider injectors. those have a tendency to give people problems.
I just bought a 01 zr2 blazer with the 4.3l v6 also had the same problem had a plug wire that got burnt some how had to replace both o2 sensors replaced plug wires and plugs cleaned the mass air flow and truck is back running strong
That looks real clean bro. Congrats brother
Now it`s starting to look fresh :)
Appreciate it!
cool truck good whit the repair keep the good videos brother
Food for thought man, I have worked on many 4.3 liter vortec v6's in my time, and one problem I have seen that is very annoying is the old cylinder misfire error code. You can go through the hassle of changing out all the o2 sensors, catalytic converter, plugs, plug wires, and ignition coils only to still have the same damn error code with the cylinder misfire. It will lead you to believe that the cylinder must have an internal issue and it is not worth your time, but that is not always the case. The point in the exhaust on those vehicles where the two exhaust manifolds connect together to the exhaust outlet tend to get cluttered and fill with debris over time, causing the cylinder to misfire sporadically. I believe the part is called a y pipe, at least that's what it was called last time I worked on one. Trust me, change that part out first before any other part along with the catalytic converter first and see if that fixes your issue. Hope this helps man! Truck is Looking good btw.
Thank you and while your diagnoses could be correct and the entire cat and tubes will get replaced I think the main source of my issue is the spider injector. Hopefully a grand and some time and it will be tip top. And thanks!
+Loudizzzzle no problem! Hope it helps! Can't wait to see the finished product!
What sise rim are Tham look 🔥🔥🔥🔥 you used spacer and it
I he'd the same problem with mine a few weeks ago got a misfire code. There's one spark plug on the driver side that's hard to remove. It's blocked by the steering wheel arm. I'm pretty sure that could be your problem. Most people never replace that spark plug.
it's still a great project keep it pushin
looks good with the skinnys on it
we call em pullbacks. lol
I paid $20 to get both headlights restored on my pilot with clear coat. They now look like the day I pulled off the lot.
I have the same car and the misfire on 3 was the fuel injection Spider went bad. that's a common problem on the blazers.
I agree. I think it could also be the fuel spider. Search for CSFI or CPI "spider" GM and you should see some info.
Looks good bro
Thank you!
+Loudizzzzle no problem bro can't wait to see what you do with it
yeah mine's the 4.3 and I got a Miss at 50 miles an hour if you happen to find out just let me know
They look tight Loudizzle :)
looks bad azz bro
gut the cat. replace sensors and plugs are not hard to change in a rwd 6 cyl

Throw a small block in it
but the weird thing is it's only once in awhile
What size are the rims?
get 3 inch lowering blocks
I got a Miss at 50 miles an hour probably the same problem you're having
4x4? isn't this a extreme? anyways, looks good, like the color, now you need to clean up the front lights a bit man
Definitely is an Extreme. Nope it's not a 4X4. I have no need to go offroad.I have replacement housings going in this weekend for all of the lights except the fogs.
just put a LS1 motor in it
Sooooo much moniez though. About 5 grand and a few weeks.
If u soak the head lights in awesome they will become crystal clear
