I live in California, and nearly every single woman my age fails when vetting them. I thought I had found a girl who was different, but she showed up at my job on valentines Day with another guy, and at that moment, I really didn't care. About a month later, she moved 3 hours away, and I haven't messaged her since. I honestly want to move to a different country. BTW, that girl I was with was basically like a trail period because I had just graduated high school, and she was a year behind me. The most we did was hang out and watch movies, we didn't have a job, income, or a car so when she did that to me I really couldn't care less since I didn't have any monetary investment in her. My half sister already moved back to Japan, and honestly, I feel like I would have a better chance of moving their and helping with their birth rate crisis.

I don't understand how can you be married to someone for 5 years than she leaves you and you have to pay her for the rest of her life? How did that law even come into existence?

    • @BrewerTheGreater
      @BrewerTheGreater Месяц назад +51

@@squiggs1002 Its a relic of a time before women could get a decent job to pay their own bills. It has been around since the first colonies. Back then, they understood that a woman past 30 was likely not going to be remarried, so she needed some kind of income to survive if their only skill was housework. There were woman that could work to take care of themselves, but those opportunities were very rare, thus the exception.
Before 1960, the courts assumed the man was unfaithful unless proven otherwise. This assumed guilt has been pushed forward to today even though the law was changed to prove infidelity. Coupled with the feminist empowering movement, many are abusing this law when before it was needed to protect the women who were rightfully wronged by unfaithful men.
These women want their cake and to eat it too, but I know I am preaching to the choir here.

Is a big fault in progressive change in society, along with nailing men with child support and those father raise their kids. It's messed up, that change years ago wasn't really progressive in the name of progress. Helped women get out of bad situations way when in the day, but that was only a temporary solution that became a bigger problem. Women all of sudden abused the hell out of that power. The "equality issue" that some women are always belly-aching about, quite often, doesn't stand up to scrutiny. I'll apply it to a yard sign I saw recently --- " We support reproductive freedom - No woman should be forced to be a mother" They could have been more blunt and said " We support abortion " but, as usual , abortion supporters hate to use that word, like somehow dancing around the word makes the deed less deplorable.. If you agree with them that no woman should be forced to be a mother, then knowing that it takes a man also to conceive a baby, shouldn't that reasoning dictate that no man should be forced to be a father ? You know that no feminists would be yelling for equality on that issue !

After that I couldn't eat ice cream for 2 yrs. At 16 I worked in an animal shelter until I went to college. That was more fun than a job to me. It was great playing with the animals and finding good homes. The only problem with that was the dogs and cats and I had so much fun they'd run away from home back to the shelter. The same thing happened at my dad's veterinary hosp with the dogs and cats there until he passed away and Mom sold the hospital. My dad would open up in the morning and the animals would be waiting at the door to come back in. We lived above the hospital so my bro and I would be down there all the time and we'd bring our friends down too. They got more attention from us than their owners. Other than us I never heard of another animal hospital where the animals ran away from home to go back to the hospital.

Def agree allimony should exist. But with kids, both are liable. Otherwise dont have em. We cerfainly aren't seeing many upstanding parents these days so relieving them all of any responsibility is wrong. Everyone has consequences to their actions. Men are JUST as resposible for pregnancy as women and vice versa. Kids shouldnt pay for the parents mistakes. Thats like saying its ok to walk away from your child with no inhibitions just because mom bought nails with CS over some school clothes. Kids have no control over adults or their decisions. A real parent would fight for custody and male sure things are done right by the child. Not walk away with no expectations or consequences. They do tht enough on their own as it is.

They're lying with correlation that isn't causation - a classic stats lie. Notice they just stated the self-deletions but not the cause. How many of those were because there was no treatment or recognition for clinical depression until about the early 70s? Therapy wasn't in common use before then. There used to be a huge stigma in the 80s.
Of course you'd see the self-deletions get lower when treatments started to come online and it was recognized as a real issue.
I can take 1 stats that happened in 1970 and then correlate a hundred different changes in the same year. Then I could say that 1 stat caused all the others to happen. When in fact, there may be no causation or the causation is completely the reverse.
Was it that they ended themselves because they were married, or did the man divorce them because they were destroying their families with untreated depression and alcoholism. When there was fault divorce, such a bad person for the family wouldn't have been given the kids or a huge lifetime payment. If someone isn't paying your bills after you nearly destroyed the family, I think that's a fair trade.
But let's stop focusing on the wrong thing. How did the kids do after no-fault was passed? The stats are clearly causal and, without exception, horrific for the kids.
A family is about care of children and their best interests. The parents gave up their right to selfishness when the children were conceived. Why TF does anyone not mention how the children have done since divorces swept through this nation like a plague?
Nobody ever mentions the most vulnerable. Instead they mention the most selfish -- and demand even more.
Well. Those days are done. Either that, or the US will collapse in 20 years or less. My bet is 10-15.
The only states that will survive will be the ones who treat men fairly.

@@michaeldavid6832 It's also a bad reference to the statistic anyway cherry picked from the highest that women had. The rate for each gender was 1950's 21.2 per 100,000 men and 5.6 per 100,000 women, 1960's 20 per 100,000 men and 5.6 per 100,000 women, 1970's 19.8 per 100,000 men and 7.4 per 100,000 women, 1980's 19.9 per 100,000 men and 5.7 per 100,000 women, 1990's 21.5 per 100,000 men and 4.8 per 100,000 women...
in 2021 the numbers were 22.8 per 100,000 men and 5.7 per 100,000 women so the stats were already comparable to the past and men are still 3X more likely.

The law says if the ex is getting alimony, the man can petition the court to end it. If the ex can prove the alimony is necessary, like with overwhelming health conditions, a judge can lower it, end it, or continue it as is. These women act like it's just going to stop.

That’s because the Left, like a certain fictional group, deals in absolutes.
For another easy example: “Either we make all abortions legal, or they will make all abortions illegal.” Nope, either Democrats make all abortions legal at the federal level, or Republicans will make only the Big Three legal federally and allow stateside democracy to fill in the blanks.

No breaks, no unemployment, no social handouts. I did pay spousal support for a year and child support for 13 years. She's the one who filed for divorce.

Honestly, the women who are up-in-arms about the end of permanent alimony are the Country Club set.
Seriously, these leeches expect the gravy train to continue indefinitely!
Alimony should have a condition that once these women are actually financially solvent after divorce, then alimony should end!

If they are caught in dangerous situations they can always get a fault divorce but if they leave on their own for instance they think they've found a Chad then whatever they lose for that is their own fault. If you're married, never count on a Chad or whatever other stupid reason they have for leaving the marriage.

My first job was when I was 12. I was the tire and oil change guy at the local auto repair shop. My pay was one dollar for every set of 4 tires I mounted and balanced and an additional 50 cents if I had to mount them on a car or truck, and 50 cents for every oil and filter change I did. By the time I was 14, I was doing valve jobs and by 16 I was rebuilding engines. When I hit 18, I went to work for a new car dealership that sent me off several states away and I was trained at the factory technical training center. When I turned 24, I was a licensed master mechanic and I've been a professional wrench twister for the past 49 years. (I'm currently 73 yeas old, and still at it.)
