It used to be 4 cards to the front in the sword and shield era which was before scarlet and violet because there used to be an energy and the 3 uncommons behind the rare but
they changed it to there only being
energy behind the rare for Scarlet and violet

The code card at the beginning, where there is different versions, that was in sets a little while back. Don’t think new ones have it now

Booster boxes guarantee a ultra rare, 3 art rares and usually a secret rare in every box

@@yeahtbh.161 have yet to see a booster box without a SIR or GOLD card. “Since the Scarlet & Violet expansion, all ultra rare cards are secret cards. Ultra rare cards from the Sword & Shield or prior series are not considered secret cards outside of Asian language expansions and have card numbers within the regular set list”.

Booster boxes are the way to go. The 100$ boxes when they first release. Collecting and holding on to unopened products is the way to go for sure if you can afford that kind of thing. All I wish is, if you decide to just collect unopened products, can you please open a pokemon product every now and then for us fans. Just to keep a bit of variety.

Heya, just wanted to pop in since I've been enjoying your content and am both a baseball and Pokemon collector, much much more seasoned Pokemon wise.
At the beginning of the video on the topic of code cards, back in the SwSh (Sword & Shield) sets, code cards would be printed off with different colors on the bordering (white or black, and other times they messed with background colors, etc.). This is to offset pack weights and it makes weighing more difficult. Typically, white code cards were hits. RUclipsrs show them on camera to allow their viewers to use the codes on the card, which gives them packs in the online card game. The color coordination with the borders on code cards is not guaranteed and some print runs are opposite, etc. REGARDLESS, this does not matter for what you're opening. You're opening SV (Scarlet & Violet) product, which changed pack formation, which leads me into my next point.
You attempt the pack trick, and what you were seeing was yet again someone opening SwSh product. In SwSh product, the trick is 4 from the back. With SV, they moved the hit slots to the far back, so the pack trick is only one (not including the code card) from the back. This is a purely aesthetic choice, as many rippers like having their hit slots as the final card.
In terms of pack collation, you are guaranteed at least two reverse holos (the ones where the text area is shiny) and one normal holo (picture + borders) in a pack. These three slots all have a chance to be hits of varying rarity. Since SV changed to this pack collation, holo cards are extremely common, making them all effectively worthless. However, holo bulk is valuable to keep, especially in comparison to normal bulk. Anything considered a hit is anything better than a normal holo, which can be anything from a standard ex to an alternate full art.
Finally, preordering booster boxes is typically the way to go for investing. It's pretty common for boxes to drop in price after release, but BBs appreciate the best out of any product. SwSh product is currently fading out of current availability and into the phase where it becomes scarcer and rises in price. BBs are hands down the best investment vehicle every single time for Pokemon product, I'm sure you see what some Booster Boxes that are older go for on TCGPlayer. Also, be aware of the difference between Booster Boxes and Booster Bundles. You opened a bundle in this video, which has 6 packs. Booster Boxes are abbreviated as BB within the community and are the ones with 36 packs.
    Thanks for making content!

Many thanks, boss! I appreciate all the education I'm getting from you and others who comment on the videos. I'm learning quite a lot and it's fun to get to know a new type of card collecting that I've always been very confused about. Still lots more to learn, but every time I post something I get more info! I have three booster cases so far and am thinking about picking up some SWSH ones before they get too far out of print. I am hearing recently that summer is a downtime for Pokemon, so might have stock up before fall starts!

@@ASMRSports I'm really happy you're enjoying yourself! If you're looking to capitalize on SwSh product before you get priced out, look at Lost Origin, Silver Tempest, and to a lesser extent Crown Zenith. Other sets like Fusion Strike are also good but have already risen a bit past 200. The market as you said has stalled atm so now's a good time!
Also worth noting, the next expansion Shrouded Fable is what's called a "holiday" or "special" set. These sets are (typically) smaller, have better pull rates, are more expensive pack-to-dollar, and do not have Booster Boxes, instead relying on bundles, ETBs, and similar. Good luck!

Pokemon cards are better unopened. But sometimes cards can fluctuate higher depending on the meta for the actual game. I would recommend buying booster boxes and not opening them for value. Though I do love this content. Also, the reverse rares usually aren't worth anything its usually just ex and full arts that have value.
