Its weird that even though i dont understand the language, i know the book so well, i kind of do! Even where they edited the story down from the book (obelix uprooting the tree by mistake). I wish they did audioplays of these in english.
Rebecca Davy I’m glad you like it. 😊 The language is Danish. 🇩🇰 They did audioplays of the first eight Asterix books between 1989 and 1993. All of them are really good - especially the first two from 1989. 👍🏻
@@80eren You're welcome! 😊 I wish my Danish is as good as your English so I could appreciate them more! We had some of the books as audio cassettes at about the same time- read by only one actor- William Rushton: a famous British character actor from the 1970s and 1980s (who also voiced the UK childrens claymation series 'The Trap Door' if you know that at all). They were good, but these are great!
@@becca545 I recommend you checking out the German radioplay series by EUROPA (only available as MCs). imho even better actors and the same music and sound effects as these ones.
fyi These radioplays were edited at some point by Studio Körting in Hamburg, Germany. They feature their music composed by Wilford L. Holcombe that was recorded in the U.S. in 1984.
