I had a jaws of the lion campaign that fell apart due to one of our players getting busy. I'm excited to see you play through frost haven! the gloomhaven battle system is fantastic
Sad I didn't watch this earlier! What a delightfully intriguing game, lots of complexity in combat, but they seemed to have made it *interesting* complexity, which is rare.
the complexity is also really fun from a storytelling perspective. the characters and enemies and even missions feel very different from each other. it's a great time!
This is rad as hell. Awesome edits make this easy to watch without feeling like I'm missing anything while moving at a brisk pace. Thanks Jorbs, very fun series :)
Just started playing gloomhaven on steam and have loved it! If you haven’t tried the steam version for gloomhaven, you will LOVE the VA for the narrator in it. The art is also really nice. Excited to watch this kind of content from you, glad you’re doing this!
i've played a bit of it! i like some of the mechanics of frosthaven a bit more than gloomhaven's, but am sure i'll go back for more gloomhaven at some point.
@@Jorbs so long as you’re having fun! Also, I know the month is almost over, but its been 2 years since the last fire breathing deck video. There’s still time for the ironclad month!
I love Frosthaven! Glad to see you planning on releasing videos for it. Though I am more of a simple level enjoyer like how Gloomhaven was designed, I absolutely love the character classes Frosthaven introduced and many small changes like the more unique perks the classes have compared to the Gloomhaven classes. I hope you have fun with your playthrough!
Fun video, looking forward to this series. I hope you get the necessary views for this so it is a worthwhile investment of time for you from a business perspective, too
Watching this will be delightful. The idea of Gloom/Frosthaven appeals to me a lot, but I find the game just too complex to be enjoyable (I am a lazy gamer, I like to switch off my brain). This way I get to let Jorbs do my thinking for me!
I think my problem, when I played Gloomhaven, is I want to make my turns perfect. But there are so many moving parts that it's actually nigh impossible for someone as impatient as me to do.
it's definitely a game prone to decision-paralysis, i think the multiplayer guidelines have some protections against that to try to keep you rolling through missions as a group.
This game looks super interesting! I appreciate that you seem to be playing the enemy turns fair, excited to see how you’ll interpret the enemy’s as they get stronger! I also wonder if you’d get some of your friends together for a game like this?
@@Jorbs absolutely and I am so hyped to watch more. I started trying to figure out the game on tt-sim last night after watching to see if this might be something to introduce to my friends. Honestly still not sure x.x
Does this effectively replace the campaign you were streaming and uploading to the manyjorbs channel, as far as content goes? Like, will you not be doing that anymore?
For a second I thought you were going to play Frostpunk 2 (lots of reviews from strategy gurus like Marbozir). May be worth considering it as well.. would be super interesting to see you play it. I know nothing can compare with XCOM LW, but MAY BE it will come somewhat close (?) ;)
i did not like frostpunk at allllll. did they fix the thing where it was possible to pause and do tons of micromanagement and if you didn't your villagers would be horribly inefficient at their jobs?
i haven't played too much of gloomhaven, so i don't really know. i like the strategic-layer stuff, building up the town etc., don't think you get that in gloomhaven as much.

there's probably a video of me and filthyrobot playing gloomhaven floating around somewhere. usually i do my multiplayer gaming off-camera though, so i can give the people i'm with my full attention.
This format is delightfully digestible, yay!
i spent quite a lot of time trying to find a happy point where it'd be watchable without being unenjoyable to make. glad you like it!
A RUclips exclusive? Lucky us
hell yeah!
Love how excited you sound for this campaign. This gonna be fun
yeah, love this sort of game.

Great to see you having so much fun!!! 🎉❤🎉 Hope you keep enjoying and spotlighting these kinds of complicated games in daily digestible ways!
Been loving all the Frosthaven content! I've thought many times that it would be awesome to see Jorbs play *haven games, and my wish was granted!
be careful what you wish for lol, i am about to lose half a year of my life i think.
@@Jorbs is it really lost if you enjoy it? Anyways, gotta justify the time investment to watch this lol
Yes please!!!!!! My fav Sts streamer playing my #2 favorite boardgame!!!

Frosthaven hype! I've also just started my campaign on the new mod. Thanks for doing the series Jorbs
good luck!
Haven't been as interested in STS stuff lately, but love frosthaven. As long as you keep making these I'll keep watchin em!
glad you're enjoying!

Small thing, I’ve been shuffling the modifier deck for null/crit, so thanks for clarifying end of round.

Can't wait to see how this goes. :)
Loved this! Straight to wartching part 2

Deathwalker and Drifter do so much damage
i have been appreciating them both. but also the other two.

appreciate you.

correct, i wanted to stream in a way i could do editing for
I was sad to see you bailed on the original TTS campaign on your channel but an edited version might be better. Good luck with the series!
i think this will be the best way to do it! i have ~13 episodes recorded already, so even if i don't finish there's a good chunk to come.

How better than gloomhaven is it ? I’ve done it through and through (both with friends in tts and solo in the digital game)
