I don’t think his personality ever really changed until he broke demitri’s arm, he just acted like a different person at first to try and make his true self like that, it didn’t necessarily work because when he was about to break demitri’s arm he hesitated aka showing mercy, which was just his nature and always will be. I think he stopped trying to make himself a bully and embraced his nice personality. He’s just tougher than before
