What a concert from Ali & Astros UB40. A night I won't ever forget!! At the time I was only 22 going on 23, 2 months after this event. I grew up listening to his songs since my mom was the biggest fan of them born in 1970. I'm glad she planted this type of music in my veins. On minute 38:46 I had the privilege to give Ali Campbell a high five ✋. Currently I'm 26 but still listen to UB40 no matter what. Big Love. ( RIP Astro ) 👼🏼🙏🏼
The voice of Ali has always been the beacon for ub40,he's not just a singer but a great singer who comfortably hits high and low notes and that has always been the trademark for Ub40..the other ub40 suffer a leading voice making it less interesting to watch it's about the feel

*The* voice of UB40, they can try to carry on without him, any skilled musician can replicate the music, but nothing will come close to Ali's voice, not even his brother Duncan, who wanted nothing to do with the band at the start, but now thinks he can step into shoes that are a few sizes too big for him.
We seen UB40 loads of times at the 02 Arena London,our last performance was at Chelmsford Racecourse 2017. Now you see this,look back at how UB40 was Live Aid 1985 Wembley Stadium 1985
This is the real UB40.But still feeling sad at the departure of Mickey Virtue from the band.I hope he rescinds his decision and rejoins Ali and Astro. I also pray that Earl Falconer quits the dark side and adds his bass punch to the real UB's.
@Frank Doherty ALI chose to leave the band ub40 to go solo but it never worked out!! so he formed his own ub40 like a cry baby..I've seen both Ali's ub40 and the Duncans ub40 and I prefer duncans cos the band sound amazing still...and let's be onist all astro does is sing the odd backing vocals and dance banging away at a tambourine I've seen more talent in a 21 year old dog
@Frank 406 he didnt "continue"anything.As Alan pointed out, he quit the band to go solo, failed miserably so 7 years later stole the name to make some money off gullible people who don't know the difference using half a dozen session musicians who had nothing to do with UB40 at all and who do a bad version of the original songs with Astro shaking a tambourine and using autotune.Sad,very sad.
