Hey hoss got the same truck an its being real pain trying to bleed and making the clutch slave push out all the way. Thanks for the video. Will try that system.
The power bleeder is definitely worth the money! I have used it several times. I have another video that I made after this one showing how I replaced the hydraulic clutch line. I used the power bleeder again to bleed the system. Very easy to do by yourself.
I am trying to replace a clutch master and slave cylinders on a custom hot rod. The pieces I have look a lot like these thanks for showing the used parts so I can compare mine.
I just watched your line replacement video and figured i would go back and see this one too... i am changing my 84 k5 blazer from automatic to standard, so i have alot of work
I need to change master and slave cylinder in my 91 s10 in order to get back on the road....slave seems easy to get to and the master seems like such a biotch to get to
@@maineinga The motive products power bleeder is awesome. I have another video linked below where I had to replace the clutch line and bleed the clutch again. The power bleeder is definitely worth the money. ruclips.net/video/BsQ6VmGlyOA/видео.html
@@BrantleyBlended my neighbor replaced the master cylinder twice, and bent the pushrods both times. His truck is a 1989 k1500, I removed the slave cylinder and had him press down on the clutch pedal, no movement. Before we replaced both the master and the slave, I tried blowing air through it. I ended up removing the line and found that the rubber section had deteriorated internally after I cut the hose portion in half. We replaced the hose and both cylinders. Cylinders were covered under warranty anyway. Bled system, clutch is back to normal and we’re not bending anymore pushrods. Good luck 👍✌️
It looks like the original master in my 88 S10. I replaced the master and slave in my S10. And changing the master was a real PITA!!

Question....Did you not bench bleed the slave cylinder and the master cylinder proir to installing them ?
No, I did not.
@Brantley Blended Thx for response, maybe I'll try that 1st to cut down the air bubbles if not will get that power bleeder, good looking out

What transmission does the truck have.
I have a 80 k10 with a sm 465. Id like to convert from a manual linkage to hydraulic like you have.
It’s a 4 speed sm465
I am changing my 84 k5 to a standard from automatic... the bellhousing is what you will need to change for hydrolic clutch... the sm465 will be same
Hey man. Same truck and same exact problem. Do you have any idea why the push rod would bend like that. Same thing happend to mine
Check your hydraulic line for blockage. See if you can blow compress air through the line with both ends not attached to either cylinders
I think it’s a really old part, and I don’t drive the truck very much so it just ceased up.

Has anyone heard of a clutch master that would refuse to seal to the hardline right out of the box?😭😭😭😭
The more i think about it... i think my slave was all the way out and master cylinder was froze solid. I bought it used
I did my swap and my transmission is froze in neutral
Did you find a solution yet?
