Hi mate, its actually 1 of my oldest permissions that I don't even detect very much anymore. I can tell you I've hammered this place over the years and seen some amazing finds come up. Hi mate, yes Derbyshire has some very beautiful scenery, particularly in the Derbyshire Dales and Peak District. Lots of green hills, it is where I love to be. For many centuries the only kind of jobs were in agriculture, a LOT of people walked the fields and also worked the fields. There were no £20 notes or anything like that, currency was only coins. People had holes in their pockets and all sorts, the landscape it literally littered with coins and other small pieces of metal. Its a great hobby :)

Lordy, that was a huge tree!!! Loved all the coin spills you got. Amazing. It is wild how many cartwheels are found in the states. That was long after he lost the war. You popped a top and I had to go pour some Scot whisky over a Dr Pepper with ice. None of that wimpy Canadian or Kentucky blended for me. I want peated that was brewed in the Highlands.
Morning, I see people finding Georgian coins in the USA, in particular George II. The tree was amazing, each time I now go to this place I will visit the tree. Whiskey and Dr Pepper sounds great 🍻😁

Hi Dave, yes these fields have always been fruitful for me. Unfortunately the disease which is the group digs has spread to my towns now and I'm seeing group digs on and around my permissions. Very sad times
@@TheDukesOfDerbyshire Yes these pay to dig are spreading all over the country,here in Warwickshire and Leicestershire large swathes of land have been taken over and lost to local clubs.Once they start paying farmers that's the end for sole detectorists.

I'm in New Mexico in the U.S. but we are moving to Colorado in January (I'm in the military so moving is here and there haha). I am hoping to be moved to the UK some day but we were lucky enough to live in Germany from 2017-2020 and got to detect some old lands, so I guess I can't complain. I just miss it and at least get to enjoy a few channels from yours to Button Boy and a few others.

Nice Georgian Coins mate! Cart Wheel pennies are always an enjoyable find for sure! My way they appear to be fairly rare but your way your cart wheel tower says otherwise, how's that getting on? Touching the ceiling yet 🤣 When I'm out and about and come across old epic tree I always find myself wishing they could talk, imagine all the history they have seen!
