    I'm watching them let it get out of control....no pressure on the hoses and they are in no rush to save anything. You can see it!

      I think the way that place is going they are more concerned with surrounding structures since this ones done for.

      How would you have commanded your men Chief? Do you have any video of Industrial Building fires you have supervised the Suppression of?

    Water pressure at the beginning was pathetic !

    How is that fir ineffective water squirting? Can you imagine being so brain dead that you can't find what is burning and effectively put water on it?

      JB91710 Stop trying to be the biggest asshole on RUclips. There is so much you do not know about this fire ground or what the interior of this fire building has inside. What toxins are being produced by the combustion. What happens when you pour water on a building that has sodium or polyclorobiphenols in it? Or what if there is a shitload of hydrocarbons in the fire building. Pour a bunch of water out of a fire hose and flush it down the drain now you have an fire in the sewers and threatening to cause an underground explosion.

      I am commenting on this as it is what I have been waiting for regarding your argument about vertical venting at the 3:01 mark one can see the air flow is flowing inward through the door. The shot also shows the fire and smoke shooting skyward from the collapsed portion of the roof. Simple physics the expansion coefficient of solid and liquid is tens of thousands of times the volume of liquid water and the flammable solids is a proven factor. The chemistry involved follows the scientific law that declares matter and energy cannot be created or destroyed. the law in physics which supports my hypothesis is that no two objects can occupy the same space at the same time since sub atomic particles are the smallest particles of matter and generally exist as airborne particles. Now given that two particles of matter can not occupy that same space at the same time the excess matter must go somewhere. Since the energy from the sustained exothermic reaction is also being dissipated and heats the matter this means that the heated matter will tend to follow the air currents This is called the flow path. Here we can see the air being drawn into the structure which is then seen exiting through the roof. This is why Firefighters cut holes in the roof and take out windows in the top floors to ventilate the structure and allow the heat and heated particulates to exit the structure. The use of PPV increases the flow of gasses and airborne particulates in the flow path clearing and cooling the interior of the structure by venting so fires in the attic/cockloft can be vented as well as the interior of the structure by removal of any blockages to the top floor and attic/cockloft inside the structure a tactic carried out by truck companies while the direct fire attack is carried our by engine companies. It is a part of what is called a coordinated fire attack braindead one.

    Typical California not using Master Streams LOL!

    • @wbuttry1
      @wbuttry1 4 года назад

      master streams only for penetration semi fog cools the air so the fire inside can be controlled better

    • @retiredarthritic2083
      @retiredarthritic2083 4 года назад

      William Heber: Not sure whether your LOL is laughing at what you consider a lack of master streams being used or just cracking a joke. At 2:00 there is a master stream in operation hand held nozzle on a 2.5" hose. There are three types of master streams hand held, fixed base, and elevated. What categorizes a master stream is the volume of water produced not how that volume of water is delivered during fire attack.

      @@wbuttry1 partly true variable nozzles can produce a water stream for penetration or various degrees of fogging to cool the interior with what I see regarding this particular fire ground the roof is collapsed so much of the comment about cooling the interior is already moot.
