    What solution was applied with the cotton swab? Was this used to clean the surface or does it also smooth/polish it?

    hello..so for waxing the maxillary posterior teeth then the buccal cusps should be placed more buccal compared to the lingual surface...did you again just look at the cusp tip of the canine and draw an imaginary line to the maxillary second molar?

    • @pongsirijaikumpun4086
      @pongsirijaikumpun4086 4 года назад +2

      For the location of the buccal cusps of posterior maxillary teeth, yes I look at the cusp tip of the canine and draw an imaginary line to the buccal cusp tip of the maxillary second molar.
      However, it's pretty hard to locate the location of the lingual cusps of the maxillary posterior teeth. Because they are functional cusps, I put them in the middle of the lingual half of the tooth. Usually 2-3 mm from the outer surface.

  • @MsReeses97

    how did you determine where the lingual cusp tips go? those are the ones that sit in the mandibular first molar..distal in the distal part of the Central groove of the mandibular first and the mesial lingual cusp tip in the mesial part of the central groove

    • @pongsirijaikumpun4086
      @pongsirijaikumpun4086 4 года назад +2

      Dear Ashely,
      I am not sure if I understand your question correctly or not. If I do, it depends on the occlusal scheme of your model. For example, I use the ideal class I occlusion (cusp to fossa). I build the lingual cusp according to the scheme.
      My suggestion is that you check the occlusal scheme that you are studying or are assigned for this practice and build the cusp following it ;)

    • @massoodn9410
      @massoodn9410 3 года назад

      Your question is good. In class one occlusion no maxillary cusp occludes with mandibular mesial fossa. The mesiolingual cusp of
      Maxillary first molar occludes with central fossa and distolingual cusp with distal fossa of mandibular first molar respectively.

      @pongsirijaikumpun4086 4 года назад +3

      To be honest, I do not really use it. I use PKT no.4 (two side blade) for all of the carving steps. In the video, I just show the possible ways if anyone wants to use PKT no.3 and 5. :D

    Sorry to say that you have failed to demonstrate your knowledge of dental anatomy. Or better yet, you need to go back and look
    at your anatomy book. I give you one example only. Maxillary premolars in nature are extremely different. Yet you made them similar.
    No more comments. Figure the rest yourself.
