@@barbershopjohn I agree. When I listen to barbershop songs, when I try to listen for bari, I can’t hear it at all most times, but it still sounds awesome!
@@BTGames2004 I've always thought that was the mark of a perfect bari. If he's doing it right, you shouldn't hear the part at all, only the effect it has on the rest of it.
What does that mean? I’m getting into this style of music and I keep hearing negative things about the baritone. Do you mind telling me what RIP means?
Could you do more "How-To" Videos? Because with the whole pandemic crap going on i'd love to learn how to do more barbershop quartets, i've tried a few attempts but i still feel like i'm missing something. Thank you :)
This is amazing. any plans on making a videos of how to write tags? And what chords works best for these quartets and how to sing them in a group or solo? I wanna do solo stuff too, but I don't have much to go off of other than my voice haha or maybe you could provide some example songs where each line is singled out so we can hear each melody to start writing our own? Thanks :)
Great talent and fun learning. If you would keep the four parts totally separate and combine at the end it would be even better for learning. Keep up the great work.
I’ve really wanted to start a female quartet since I heard the song Galactic Mermaid. But I can’t find any other interested females. I’d just do what you’re doing, but I don’t really know how to figure out all the parts. Do you have a tutorial video that kind of explains that? What about the parts that just do like doo wops and bomps? I have such interest.
Cool video! I would like to learn barbershop style. I am in a new quartet at church, but none of us are that great. I sing tenor but I can't sing very high. Our bass is probably the best, but he doesn't sing super low. We're kind of a "middle of the road" bunch.
What would it sound like if you had 4 guys who can sing all 4 lines as well as you do but, they slide and shift amongst each other throughout an entire song? The different vocal timbres would have to do some very interesting things to yield what could only be amazing results
The worst part of barbershop is when you record it the bari gets buried like nobody’s business.
But still, barbershop. Just barbershop.🤗🤗🤗
Funny how that happens isn’t it? 😃

@@BTGames2004 I like to believe that the baritone is there, not to shine himself, but to polish the three others to perfection.

Yeah, long-time barbershop baritone here. You know you're doing it right when you're not noticed. *sigh*
R.I.P. hearing the baritone part to literally any barbershop song

Man, this is just satisfying to listen to. Barbershop Quartet is just one a those things you can't help but smile whenever you listen to them.
Cool video! I always wondered how this was done.
You are, and forever more shall be, Mr Barbershop! Brilliant fun and you are so enthusiastic...love it.
Very cool. I love how you made it so simple. You're very talented.
You make it look so easy. You have a good range in your voice too if you can sing all of those parts. Thanks for sharing.
Congrats John !! I really love this kind of music, but I didn´t know how to start and u teach me. Hugs from Brazil 🇧🇷
Dude you’re awesome! Very inspirational!

Aye, another trumpet player that sings barbershop. Has an old Strat with a giardinelli mp. Nice nice.

Nicely done! Kinda miss being in a quartet.
Very nice!
i've listened to this many times and still have no idea what baritone is doing till the end
What software do you use for the multi-tracking, and what autotune?
Awesome video!

Boy do I have a song for you! Check out Instant Classic's You Gotta Change Parts - a song where they switch parts constantly throughout!

What program were you using to be able to hear the layers as you were making them? It looks like Audacity but it's hard to tell for sure.
Good job
John, what software do you use for video editing?

How about teaching us how to do the recordings and splitting the screens.
