- 27th March 2019 - Screen On The Green Cinema Islington, London.
Devin Townsend screened the full Making of Empath documentary, and was on hand between each of the chapters to pause it and elaborate further about each of those stages of the albums production.
At the end he opened the floor for a Q&A (apologies as some of the questions asked aren't very audible)
He is always worried about rambling and being taken wrong but I could listen to him (and have) speak about himself and music endlessly.
His honesty is overwhelmingly entertaining.
I've been watching every interview of his since I discovered him only 1 year ago. He's absolutely Brilliant ❣️ .....and I totally love cats🙃
Man when I watch Devin do talks like these it's absolutely ridiculous how much I can relate to him. It's so great seeing such a successful guy who has the same sorta hangups doing so well
I was at HMV back in the 90’s and was looking for something heavy at the time and I came across “city” when it came out. I put the headphones on and pressed play. I’ve been hooked on Townsend ever since.
Devin is so REAL , awesome! !!!!!!!!
Thanks for posting!! Empath is FINALLY HERE!
Thank you so much for posting this! One hc Devy fanboy from Croatia really, really appreciates it!
Thanks DJ!! Priceless 🤘🤘
What a great man. God bless.
I found out about the London premiere on my way home that day; the movie theater was a 15 min walk away from where I work, but there were no tickets available anymore hahah :|
Thanks a lot for the upload!
thanks for this man.
Dude thanks for putting this up. Gutted to have missed it, I didn't even know it was taking place, but nice to have sat and watched through a couple of lunch-breaks regardless.
And who are the 4 people who disliked it? Something that regularly grinds my gears, what could there possibly be here to dislike? Must be some real Nickelback haters out there :D
I Love this guy!
Nice one man!
Thank you very much. It is very interesting how I have felt "connected" to his music and when he talks about old souls and whether or not it's your first time around, it was an aha moment. It's my first time around as well. This realization is not a small thing.
Interesting! Can you or someone please tell me, where in the video he talks about this?

@@ariamehr3339 Don't tell me what to say or think. Goodbye.
@@vandertodd sorry to hurt your sassy feelings sister !
Celine Dion is Canada's Official Praying Mantis.
lol love the interaction and giggle 1:07:56
That was me!
The cock symphony idea sounds like a film project for Rob Zombie but with Devin's music
musical version of stanley kubrick...
They haven nothing in common.
@@Rik-B they have.. Sense for detail
@@89saur Every artist that is worth their salt has a sense for detail, so I wouldn't say that it's a similarity specific for them. Moreover, Devin is more of a intuitional guy who just does what he feels like and pulls through with it, which explains his insane output. If he feels like making an album, he'll make one. Kubrick pondered about every little thing and took 7 to 12 years to release a movie in his later days. As I see it, they are examples of very opposite ways of making art.
8:20 that's one thing dude, but another thing is when you go to the internet begging money from your fans and later on saying you "never said it" and that you "don't recall saying it"... he says that right here in this interview, at the 21:20 mark ruclips.net/video/d35S9YQw1UA/видео.htmlm20s

1:02:11 fart?
Devin... you're so much smarter than to fall for that "white male" stuff lol. Maybe throw your TV away?
indeed, it's hideously simplistic collectivism.
@@razorbladder or y'all are both too simplistic and not as smart as he is to understand why he thinks like that.
