They don't want to nerf a brawler into oblivion in an instant, because players put their money and resources on those, and they don't want to make the brawler bad and forgotten either. So they are slowly chipping away at those broken brawlers until they're in a good spot. Look at charlie, Larry and lawrie. I think it's a good approach.

That does not matter when him dealing less damage allows him to farm more. On a tank, killing it slower just means you get to hit them even more, meaning more benefit. Any other interaction does not matter as he just gets countered by range slightly more and will still hard counter anyone he outranges. He's just too polarizing for that to matter.
Because clancy’s whole identity is that he is meant to be pretty much the worst character at stage 1 and the best at stage 3, if we nerf stage 3 then we might as well remove the whole leveling up gimmick. Therefore to balance Clancy whilst still keeping his character meaningful, nerfing his stage one makes more sense
Heads up about the kenji super recharge: it actually requires an extra hit for super no matter how many enemies you hit. 1 hit now takes 4 hits, 2 hits takes 3, 3 hits takes 2, 4 hits takes 1. Before 4 hits would fully recharge super so it’s slightly more impactful than you’d think

What if they increased Spikes projectile speed and decreased the speed of the little shards at the end. It would balance out the star powers better and make it easier to do damage with the base part of spikes ammo against people that know how to dodge.

This video made me try out Ash. And I really like the buff, since it allows me to play more aggressive and to keep my rage high for long. Became Star Player 90% of the time, but my Ash is not max tier, so it may not sound really impressive.
I think they not nerfing Kenji as much because in worlds, teams that picked kenji, didnt necessarily have much of an advantage. Now ofc they pros, so they prepped for it. But mid ladder n below when ppl arent as good, kenj is still steam rolling. Same thing as surge and edgar etc. They will look broken because ppl keep feeding surge super and cant keep distance or work as tram against edgar. All in all, its about skill level.

She was actually bugged then crazy good after the fix. In the last major balance changes before world finals, they gave Mandy a “buff” to her projectile speed without the star power so that the shield star power could have a use case. However, unintentionally, her projectile speed actually got nerfed all around, especially on certain skins. Right before worlds, they “fixed” it, but the 20% projectile speed buff she was supposed to have the whole time turned out to be extremely influential, and it would have messed with the meta during world finals. So, right before worlds, they either reverted it or nerfed it to about half of what it was going to be to re-stabilize the meta. That’s where she remains now. These post-worlds balance changes that we have are honestly very reserved, but the next ones might be big enough that they revisit the Mandy buff and implement it right.
I feel like to nerf moe they could just make his super charge up, like yk janet attacks? you hold it and it goes farther, moe's super will work like that, so the enemies will know that he is going to super on them and get away, and also a nerf on the knockback would be good, or making the knockback based on how long the super travelled.

The real question is: why does Kenji heal with every attack? It's fucking op it makes him immortal and makes it so hard to predict outcomes when engaging him, makes no sense at all. Plus him being invulnerable during super
They need to rework his star powers so that his main attack can be balanced properly. He gets up to 50% extra damage and super charge rate from one star power and a slightly faster super (as if it isn’t fast enough) from the other. Even worse than the imbalance between Otis’s star powers imo. That is, of course, just one of the problems that needs to be addressed with a brawler like Moe, who is Bonnie Spike 2.0 at the moment.

@rinneganfinder by nerfing gale's attack it also nerfs his super charge rate, alongside his current super charge rate nerf that he got, which overall also affects his hypercharge. also if you know how to use his slow star power you can slow lock anybody, plus the stun is too long and extremely punishing, for charlie i chose to make her slimy star power slow enemies after the cocoon ends making getting hit by her cocoon more punishing so that she can defend herself better against tanks and assasins, the rest of the things you point out are correct tho ngl, also i forgot to mention something, lawrie also gets a movement speed buff so that it decreases the chances of him dying while running away into a spot with no enemies, such as in the corner of the allies' map, also i mentioned that if lawrie and lewi's hp gets below 45%, they start to run away into a spot with no enemies to heal up

The real question is: why does Kenji heal with every attack? It's fucking op it makes him immortal and makes it so hard to predict outcomes when engaging him, makes no sense at all. Plus him being invulnerable during super

They need to change Moe’s main attack. It is way too inconsistent to play against and is the main thing in my opinion keeping him at s-tier
They need to rework his star powers so that his main attack can be balanced properly. He gets up to 50% extra damage and super charge rate from one star power and a slightly faster super (as if it isn’t fast enough) from the other. Even worse than the imbalance between Otis’s star powers imo. That is, of course, just one of the problems that needs to be addressed with a brawler like Moe, who is Bonnie Spike 2.0 at the moment.

i would completely get rid of the super knockback, make the first star power the one with extra rocks a passive and make the super knockback a star power, i would also nerf moe's super charge rate by 10% and i would also nerf his super again, making it so that when you leave your super you will always have 1 ammo left instead of having ammo depending on how much you used it in the duration of the super, i would also make moe's second star power function properly, making it so that he can walk 35% faster while on his super (55% faster while shooting)
for kenji: i would nerf his recharge rate by 15% and also make it so that his shield now blocks 55% of the damage instead of 60%, then i would nerf his healing gadget to 40% of the damage instead of 50%, and at the end i would increase the super charge rate by 2 extra hits, in exchange i would make his dashing gadget last slightly longer, plus i would also decrease his life leech ability from healing 35% of your damage to 30% of your damage
for clancy: i think that he is almost perfectly fine, the only change would be to make his dash gadget no longer stun and increase his stage 1 main attack damage to 1400
for byron: i would revert this super charge rate buff, he is already too broken, he does not need more, i would also nerf his super damage and healing from 3000 to 2600
for ash: i think that i would buff his reload speed star power to 55% instead of the 40% that it is, i would also increase ash's health to 11000
For frank: i would nerf his power grab star power to 40% and make it last 10 seconds, i would also buff his sponge star power to 1400 extra hp
for spike: i think that he is probably fine, probably increasing the duration of his super from 4.5 secs to 5 secs
for brock: i think i would buff his projectile speed by 10% and also buff his hypercharge charge rate to 50% instead of 45%
for charlie: i think she is fine, only change would be to make the slimy star power affect the person that was cocconed after the super runs out, because rn, slimy star power is useless
for larry and lawrie: i have an entire rework idea for him, where larry gets his damage nerfed to 1250 per explosion, his super charge is nerfed to take 2 more hits, lawrie would have a mechanic of running away and healing in a spot where there are no enemies, and also being able to dodge by walking sideways when not shooting, i would also make his reload star power function on pets however at the exchange of only activating on lawrie's second projectile, i would fix the damage nerf of the swap gadget and i would also increase lawrie's hp to 6600, plus i would also decrease the explosion range of larry's second explosion by 0.33 tiles, i would also nerf his healing gadget from 25% to 20%, i would also increase lawrie's speed by 12.5%, mythic gear, lawrie will heal 20% faster and will also start healing 1 second earlier than normal, his hypercharge would be that he could now summon a third brother named lewi, that attacks similar to surge and deals 2000 damage, 2120 if it's too little, he will have 6800 hp and will also have the previously mentioned mechanics of walking sideways when not shooting and healing up in case of its hp going below 45%, the mythic gear would also affect lewi, the stat boosts are
24% speed, 5% damage and 25% shield

@@floppaofbusiness kenji nerf is overkill, the starpower is quite weak now ngl, it definetely doesnt need a nerf and same with gadget, 50% healing sounds op but u gotta realise its only for the damage you take and not max hp so its situational and balanced, only thing that really needs a nerf is probably just the healing from basic and super, byron nerf also makes no sense cause the injection sp is worse than his other sp and is overall quite mid, theres no point to make it even worse, as for Charlie she needs either super charge rate buff or attack speed buff from 0,5ms to like 0,35ms cause rn tanks absolutely run over her and she cant do anything, l&l rework makes no sense lawrie gets destoyed the moment hes summoned 90% of the time and if he doesnt he still wont get a chance to heal anyways so thats pretty useless, the gale nerf is unnecessary too, like the only problem with him is his hyperchage, it makes no sense to nerf his dmg or the twiter which is already quite bad, slow sp is already barely a slow theres no need to lower it and the stun is pretty fair considering you only stun people near the walls
@rinneganfinder by nerfing gale's attack it also nerfs his super charge rate, alongside his current super charge rate nerf that he got, which overall also affects his hypercharge. also if you know how to use his slow star power you can slow lock anybody, plus the stun is too long and extremely punishing, for charlie i chose to make her slimy star power slow enemies after the cocoon ends making getting hit by her cocoon more punishing so that she can defend herself better against tanks and assasins, the rest of the things you point out are correct tho ngl, also i forgot to mention something, lawrie also gets a movement speed buff so that it decreases the chances of him dying while running away into a spot with no enemies, such as in the corner of the allies' map, also i mentioned that if lawrie and lewi's hp gets below 45%, they start to run away into a spot with no enemies to heal up
There’s a glitch with Chester with his poison super damage at the start and then does damage overtime i’m not sure if this is just in the training cave or the real game

A way to nerf Moe is to make his super distance fixed like bull, so you cant auto aim and still keep the knokcback since it would need skill to hit it

Mo should not have the ability to go back into ranged form immediatly, he should be stuck in drill form for at least like 15 seconds or until he actually gets another super
