Joe Budden was a part of the Slaughterhouse band under the Eminems label Shady records. Eminem and Paul Rosenberg(Eminems agent and lawyer) are the owners and CEOs. So when he was talking trash about Em and his music it hit harder because he was part of the team.
Even when Eminem speaks he sounds like he is rapping. There are only a few rappers out there with this vocal trait. No pun intended but another example is Snoop Dogg. 💯👍
I wish I could do Snoop Dog, somestimes I can do a bad eminem impression but Snoop some how sits in the back of tempo but still dead on beat, the only way I can explain it is he sits in a pocket at the back of it. and has a weird ability to sound languid , while not being it at all.
If you want more context on which song Eminem was talking about, check out MGK's verse on Tech N9ne - No Reason (i suggest the lyrics video though). His verse mentions Doctor (Dr. Dre) and basically says Em is not a god (Rap God). So basically taking shots at Em through the entire verse. Then if you want a follow up, Eminem responds with his track, Not Alike. Then MGK released Rap Devil after that. Then Eminem released Killshot.
Would love to watch you react to Anthony Jeselnik! Brilliant stand up comedian, deadpan humour - or Jim Jefferies, not sure if I've seen any of them on here as I think you've only recently started doing comedy reacts. Love your stuff guys, always tune in for whatever you post and often I watch things here with you for the first time!🙃
Jim Jeffries always gets blocked by YT. There’s a couple of them on our patreon. We also did Jeselnik but I think we had a recording issue and never revisited it. I do like jeselnik though so we will get back to him. 👍🏻
MGKs real name is Colson Baker Joe budden is a rapper who joined a crew called “slaughterhouse” which involved crooked I, yelawolf, Joe budden, and a few others. Yelawolf and Eminem later split from them after Budden was being ridiculous
Slaughterhouse only had four members joe budden, joell ortiz, royce and crooked i. Yelawolf is signed to shady records but he wasnt part of the group. And there were many reasons it didnt work out. Royce and eminem have both talked about it in interviews.
Joe Budden is some new jersey rapper who’s friends with the guy doing the interview and eminem. They did a battle rap event called ‘slaughter house’ which joe budden battled in and got smoked by a real battle rapper.. just for added context
Slaughter House is a Rap group and Joe Budden was a member of it. And Slaughter House is signed by Eminem Shady Records and Joe Budden was talking fucked up shit about Eminem's album Revival.
Yo, so yall should look at MGKs free style on Funk Master Flex's show. Also, I know when yall did Godzilla, yall were asking about Juice Wrld. He does a freestyle on Westwood that's insane. He was gonna be great. RIP
Joe Budden is another rapper who retired and is now a podcaster. he is actually really good. react to some of his songs Pray for me, Freedom freestyle, and unforgiven are a couple of really good options. I love Em's music, but he comes off as an arrogant prick here. He seems obsessed with clout and being better than everyone else. He should have given MGK more props for Rap Devil. "It's good... for him" Nah, it's just a good song period. MGK had some really dope lines in there (and a few silly ones, I'll admit) the hook is solid and it has a nice beat. Killshot doesn't even feel like a song and has no replay value. It's just Em throwing out insults without much direction and an awful backing track. I don't know if it's Em's personality or the pressure rappers feel to be macho and proud or a mixture of the two, but his attitude is off-putting. A little humility and self-awareness goes a long way.
well to be fair i don’t think you want to admit that the person you’re going up against did a great job, you just want to give credit or else it weakens you. Especially when it’s not a landslide opinion that one diss is better than the other, both rap devil and killshot are equally said to be better than the other in conversation.
@@moonlightkayla4903 That's a good point. I guess I feel like Eminem has plenty of breathing room to hand out compliments at this stage in his career. He's a lot of people's GOAT and is automatically brought up in any discussion about great rappers. MGK even mentioned how he thinks Em is the best and how much he looked up to him in Rap Devil. I think it would be showing strength if he gave out more kudos to those below him, but I can understand how some people might mistake it for weakness.
@@Blarsen780 If you listen to Eminem talk about any of the GOATs of rap, he’s always very respectful. Why show humility to someone who dissed you, and in my opinion he was right, as a song Rap Devil is really good and catchy but it’s a mediocre diss at best. I mean Eminem wins the argument within the first minute of the Killshot track, the whole track is pretty much a rebuttal to most of what MGK said, and he didn’t even really need to try that hard imo.
Aww, you all are so lost🤣
Most definitely
ikr was suprised they reacted to eminem but was happy.come on do some research a little bit first ffs
I was about to say you’ve already reacted to rap devil then I realised it’s not the actual song lol
