Well, I saw the horsey sacrifice, but I didn't think he'd play the double rook sacrifice in exchange for the queen as well!! As someone who also like to sacrifice my entire troops, although sometimes, blunders somewhere along the line, and made me look like an ape playing blunder / sacrifice chess, but sometimes when I calculate the sac perfectly or my opponent just couldn't find the absolute best move, then those sacrifices could be very nice to review on!! Nice little immortal from Anish!!

@@nhalsey99 it's a board game older than chess, with more possibilities, more viable play styles and complexity. All of that emerges from 5 simple rules which is the elegance of the game.
Im not titled player, but from my humble experience, when you dont have any defense in front of your king's castle an attack can take over the board out of nowhere. Great example of this, at GM level. This game need to be in chess book about attack.
Great analysis! I like the fact you show variations and what black could have done to show there’s really no escape. Giri’s known for his prep and he’s come so close to winning Tata Steel for so many years so he’s out for blood now.
2nd comment: anish did this with nodirbek in 9LX last september too? but this time it worked! Also, anyone notice this is the OPPOSITE of the Eline Roebers giri game 'She Crushed a 2627 GM With a Queen Sacrifice!' ? there the 3 pieces beat the queen. here, the queen beats the 3 pieces
That's the difference between 2700 players and world class ones, but Gukesh is still very young (younger than Pragg wtf ?!!), his potential is astonishing
2:57 why would Ba4 be a trouble for white? If everything captures, you'll have two hishops for a rook, thah seems good. Obviously I am missing some inbetween combo, but it's almost midnight.. help me figure it out
I just made a #suggestion for Roebers-l'Ami, but i don't see it yet. Maybe b/c i "helpfully" included a link to the game. Anyway, it was an upset victory. Thanks Agad for being awesome.
I was thinking the same. But I think 1… g6. 2. Nxf7+ Qxf7 3. Rxe6 and white should be better because of weak black king and 2 pawns already for knight and the initiative for white.
- not gonna spoil too much
- Anish sacrifices everything
But when he asks us to find a winning move for Anish and we already know that Anish is supposed to sac...
At the interview, he confessed that Rc2 was a cunning move. And his game was running with his prep. He is proud of his this types of prep.
Insane game by Anish! Can't believe he pulled this masterpiece in a classical game
This honestly goes down as Giri's immortal, absolute masterpiece
You mean Stockfish's immortal... 😅
@@fahimp3 lol
Awesome play by Anish . Enjoyed live
Such a brilliant game by Anish. I feel sorry for Gukesh, who is a player I really like a lot.

Anish sacrifices everything, this reminds me of the game shakh played against Anish and mamedyarov sacrificed everything the same way.
This was Anish's preparation and response -- unfortunately it was against Gukesh and not Shakh!
Absolutely beautiful. Yet another example why chess is the greatest game ever invented.
go is the greatest game ever invented
@@bunderbah what's that?

Been subscribed for a few years at least, and grateful that you are still providing analysis of these amazing games for our enjoyment.

Anish, what a legend!

This was a really dynamic game and i love it
Anish showing his class in classical.
Sometimes Giri is a Guru
wow this is chess at its most beautiful , bravo anish
Anish with an amazing finish
#suggestion IM Eline Noebers vs GM L'Ami, Erwin from the Tata Steel Challengers..
"h4. It's the only move but it's not difficult to find, because everything just wins"

No doubt a prepared build order for his opponent.
That's how men should be... One wife, two kids, handsome looks and sacrificing pieces like there's no tomorrow.
I fulfill the last criteria. Does that make me a real man??
How about 3 wives, 10 kids
You'd fit in well in a Nazi society
So according to you all men should have 2 kids, no more no less.💀
Kinda hard to be 155cm 40kg for many, but the other criteria can be met.
#Suggestion Eline Roebers - Erwin l'Ami
If this is what prep looks like nowadays, I'm all for it 😂
Thank you for the video!
Swathing finish! Anish cut a clearing out of Gukesh!
🤩🤩🤩👍. Prep?!? But still beautiful 🤩 🤩🤩
That photo is Gukesh at age 12.
what a game! AG OP!
5:40 he sacrifices.... THE ROOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great game I’ll probably watch it again awesome attack by white
Gukesh rules! He had been featured in Agad's game of the round for both round 1 and 2!
Dude, he lost both matches.
@@suryaprakash2126 a small price to pay for salvation
pure engine prep by anish
#suggestion Eline Roebers x Erwin l’Ami
anish is a true master
#suggestion Parham Maghsoodloo vs Ding Liren
Tough break for Gukesh, loosing two games in a row. Hoping he bounces back!
Even with those two vicious looking black bishops staring down the white king! Amazing!
Amazing calculations.
That’s a great game! Thanks :)
My man Gukesh getting smacked. 2 L’s in a row. 😭😭
Its on tho. My fave is on fire rn. KING DING!!!
Agadmator .. please do Lasker or Rubenstein SAGA .
Beautiful. Brilliant move by Anish
I was sure we'll get this game 😁
anish becomes the tal for couple of moments😅✌️
At 6:55 bh5 also blocks checkmate, for an extra 2 turns lol
#suggestion kings gambit of Tabatabaie
No, YOU have an excellent rest of your day!
Anish realized that a win is the same number of points as 2 draws
Anish patch.2023 is really good.
This should be called Anish's Slaughterhouse.
Spectacular indeed!!
Whats wrong with Bxd4 @ 3m30 position? Isn't it a free pawn?
6:55 - Black can play g6, giving the king an escape square
Qxg6 and mate is unstoppable
Wouldn’t be a tata steel without Agadmator !
Wow, that was fast, agad
Anish is the real mittens
And they dare call him draw-nish, lol
Two people already made a queen sac against gukesh 😂
0:50 What is wrong with Qa4 check and getting the bishop?
...Nc6 maybe
Nice game !
Gukesh having a wild ride lol
wild game AG
Ouch! My hero totally outplayed in both games posted today.
That's the difference between 2700 players and world class ones, but Gukesh is still very young (younger than Pragg wtf ?!!), his potential is astonishing
Anish playing like Duda.
i believe anish just watch attack on titan especially the erwin speech before the game
The engine shows that that sacrifice results in a draw at best. But then, we're talking about humans
2:57 why would Ba4 be a trouble for white? If everything captures, you'll have two hishops for a rook, thah seems good.

would love to see a recap for this one as well!
Looks all prep to me. Probably pretty easy for him to find . For gms
Thank you Agadmator
wow, brilliant
Anish swallowed the RED pill.
I see Anish, I give a like
That was bad ass!!
Why not play pawn to g6, 5:15?
I was thinking the same. But I think 1… g6. 2. Nxf7+ Qxf7 3. Rxe6 and white should be better because of weak black king and 2 pawns already for knight and the initiative for white.
This was Talish Giri!
2:54 why trouble? it is rock for Bishop pair
Nice the game
Savage Giri
Ahmed Adly vs Magnus Carlsen 2006 a nice game
When I sacrifice everything I usually lose
Can u explain why Qa4 to check n take bishop is a bad move?
level
#suggestion Pechac-Tababtabaei
Taxing game. They always resign out of indisposition.
At 1:12, is Queen to a4 a good move? Cause I think that's a free bishop
NC6 will block cheque and support bishop
Flair of romantic era.what a game!!
No idea how Gukesh has a beard this big, hes 16yo lol
That h file can be the downfall of many an opponent especially when a players up
With a Queen backed by a knight or Rook
I can also sacrifice everything. But the only difference is I sacrifice the game too.
Its all prep i mean Rc2 what even is that move
Cmon bro you are cm you. Didn't found mate in 1
The bishop is hanging right at 0:50 because the queen can move to a4 with check and pick up the bishop?? Did i miss something ??
Knight to c6 blocks check and defends the bishop
@@Lelandbug ouhhh hahahaha im soo bad at chess😭🥺
I sacrificed my King today😂
I am a bit confused, why not QF6 instead of Q X E6? Idea is to defend G5 and in case of R X F6, GF, still protecting G5?
Qg6 for white
Anish sacrifices everything for a draw!
Amish is my Fave. Genius indeed
