    Whats the reliability like?

Looking for an inexpensive HHD for a research project. Can this one be set up with a specific protocol, so that when an examiner opens the app, the protocol will be up or can be selected by the press of a button?
For example, I want each clinician to measure hip abduction on the affected side and record an average peak over 3 trials using 6 second contraction. Can that just be set up so that the clinician opens the app with a "Research Test Protocol" button already assigned to do that?

Pretty sure there's a research paper specifically looking at the clinimetric properties of HHDs that users the activforce2 asking with another one and started it was a suitably tool for measuring isometric strength. If you still need to know I'll try and find the paper.
You can edit your own parameters in for your own needs too

@@jmac3112it's not the clinometric properties that I'm asking about, but how the app works. Can I set up a protocol and export it to other users, so they were all doing the same thing without having to look at a sheet of paper or a spreadsheet or something. I've already seen a paper establishing reliability and validity.

@@guyterry1 yeah, rushed response sorry, knackered. So, it will measure what you want it to but as far as I'm aware you cannot save and export protocols. If you want to do anything other than what's saved on the app you would just have to type in 'Research Test Protocol' into the app every time. It exports the data to a website assigned to that users account and all data is exported in pdf format which I imagine would be quite annoying for a research project. I'll hook mine up when I get home later just to clarify and I'll get back to you in the comments

@@jmac3112 thanks! Yeah maybe a pain but the cost savings may justify the extra inconvenience.

@@guyterry1 @guyterry1 so I double checked. You can't save a specific protocol and send it to someone but the app is quite intuitive. So if your protocol was seated hip abduction on the affected side for example -
      - the app opens on a page to select either ROM or strength
      - Select strength, you can select which side or n/a
      - Hip -> abduction -> seated. You can add participant identifiers into the title of needed. Or you could just name it 'Test Protocol' and an id if you wanted to keep it all under that name.
Then start. You can choose after that whether or not to test the other side
I made a video for it and to show how you would alter times etc to see if it's suitable for you.
