@@LeandroGardini I haven’t signed up to the course yet, but if I knew more Samplemodeling tutorials like the above are in your course then I’d certainly consider it.
@@LeandroGardini Good to know. I have one final question please... from your videos it seems you draw in modulation and expression manually with the mouse after you've first entered in the notes, is that correct? So you play in the notes with a modulation/expression at a set vallue first, then after add the modulation and expression with your mouse, yes?
@Leandro, just curious if you prefer to set CC25 (Velocity to Dynamics) to 0 or 127? i.e. do you like having complete manual control of attack ramps, or do you prefer the convenience of the automatically generated attack ramps?
It depends on the situation. I pull CC25 down to 0 whenever I feel there's a specific transition I want on the legatos. But it's not very often, though.
Hi! Outstanding work, bravo! Regarding ensemble size: since there is no player count, how do I estimate the right size for the divisi? For instance, can "small" be considered half of "medium", which is half of "large" ?
Hi Leandro, I wonder how do you adjust your timber for the instrument, since there are a few harmonic spot for violins and cellos sounds a bit of wired for me. But I like your sound in the mock-up. Could you tell me about it? Do you actually adjusted the timber, or were you using EQ for this purpose in the mock-up? Thanks!
@@LeandroGardini What do you mean by saying manipulate the character? Do you mean some manners like EQ or Virtual Sound Stage like "VSL MIR Pro"? Also, I really have problem adjust the timber of the cello, could you share some details about this? Ton of thanks!
@@SiteJunhui SM instruments are very customizable. There are a lot of parameters in the patches that you should change until you get the sound you are looking for. I share all of this plus way much more with the students of Scoring Tools Masterclass.
Mi piace come esponi gli argomenti, con chiarezza e professionalità.
Grazie!
I'm working on a review of these strings and I have to say that they're pretty amazing. You've done a great job with them.
Hi @Leandro, just curious how much you use Sample Modeling instruments in your Scoring Tools Masterclass course?
I cannot tell because I have to showcase many other libraries. But SM is part of my main libraries. Did you sign up for the course?

Beyond teaching how to use specific sample libraries, what I teach in Scoring Tools Masterclass are principles that can be applied to any tool.

There’s no way to determine the exact ensemble size. I am guided by the sound of it.

Hi Zhou, like in the real players with their instruments, I also manipulate the character of the sound in the mockups.
