    I've never had much confidence in my flies until I started tying the ones from this playlist and I'm so stoked to say I tied up a bunch of these and caught my first fish from a river on a fly I've tied. Thanks guys, these videos and the podcasts are an invaluable resource!

    how about a comparison of brass vs tungsten beads? Sinking rates, why you might prefer one over the other? And how about setting up a "wish list" for us new kids to put patterns we're interested in or struggling with...I really enjoy all the videos...both fishing and fly tying. The two of you do a bang up job!

      Appreciate it. That’s a great idea on the list. We’ll look into a good way to do that. Also, check out our bead video below:

    Why would you use a straight eye hook instead of a curved eye hook?
    I have to add you guys are great!

    does it have to be a brass bead? I've never seen anyone twist dubbing on counter clockwise. I understood that if one did it in that direction it would untwist as one wrapped it onto the shank.

    • @venturesflyco
      @venturesflyco  2 года назад

      Nope. Tungsten beads are also great! We’ve never had problems with the dubbing twisting it that way. The most important thing is only twisting in one direction. 🤷🏽‍♂️

      It’s right on the border for sure… but it’ll catch fish. Haha.
