Hi there. Thank you so much. Im considering replacing the motherboard in this computer bc some water damage occurred. Is this motherboard soldered in? Any thoughts? Thanks so mu g
Uhhh what?! Lol The motherboard is held in with screws. You can't solder a motherboard in. You'll have to take the entire thing apart though, so if you don't know what you're doing, it's a very risky job.
The hard drive is intact. So if i am careful i think ill be ok. If i mess it up i will probably just have the computer store backup my data on a flash drive
@@Alina-pq5ij if all you need is the data, you can get a hard drive enclosure and turn the hard drive into a usb drive. Much easier and you can upgrade your computer. Safer if you've never done a motherboard replacement before.
You are correct. However id like to give it a try. Worst case i can still save the data bc the harddrive is intact …right lol? I have replaced a hard drive before but not a motherboard.
