Great review, I encounter the same minor issues with my CLA 45 as well - especially with objects bouncing around in the trunk. One thing I will add is how the car winds up and jumps when I start the car after the engine has cooled. I usually tap on the gas pedal to ease it into gear.
not sure but my cla45 has a little soft padding on the self belt buckle so it doesn't knock and putting on the seat belt is bad idea in a crash on an empty seat?? blocks ur view with the airbag? unless of course passenger airbag is off
Nice video mate...cool car, one dislike is the infotainment screen...ergonomically disjointed with the dash, all new mercs have this. looks like the R&D team went to sleep and just thought we'll stick a mini ipad on there.
My 2017 shooting Brake has hooks in the boot/ trunk. Also if you invest in a rubber mat for the boot, it has squares that stick out like Lego and that stops stuff rolling around. Agree with blind spot, I see from comment that people don’t like multi buttoned console that was modern at the time of design, personally o have made shortcuts so it’s useful for me. Yes the overtaking takes a while so I usually just drop down a gear manually when accelerating even in comfort or eco on the motorway. My version is 200d so no adjustable suspension. You feel the bumps more in the back and it’s very dark as my kids have found out, but for driving I love this car (previously had a gold mark 7).
Boot hooks - for around £6 you can buy M-B E-class boot hooks, and mount them in your boot. You may have to drill a couple of holes! forums.mercedesclub.org.uk/showthread.php?t=133890 Or buy a cargo net for the boot!
My very early build 2013 CLA45 does have two things that annoy me- I wish I had the later model with adjustable suspension as the ride is a little hard on substandard roads. The second is that the delay in accelerating from a standing start. It was infuriating, but fortunately I've largely eliminating this with a piggyback ECU mod. It now goes so much harder too!
Actually, I bought a 2016 CLA45, and I'm totally with ya on the transmission in comfort mode. Short shifts like an old fart and is slow, slow, slow. You've got to be in S to get a decent shift, and S+ actually works pretty well. It lifts the idle up enough to give you a good shot out of the blocks. Also, there's a pretty strong launch that comes with the optional race mode.
+Alfred Ho it's not massively cramped or anything, but bare in mind that this is basically an A class chassis so interior dimensions are almost the same
+Pure and Lean since wrapping it, it does draw a fair amount of attention but I do think that's mainly down to the wrap - satin finishes are fairly unusual to see on cars on a day to day basis. Plus, it also depends on where you are - I doubt it would get any attention whatsoever in the centre of London!
Zubair I would like to add one of the things I dislike on my car ( though as you said we really love our car it's like having a child ! ) is the boot when it opens it doesnt fully open and with the depth of the boot I have sometimes hit my head on the boot lid and it's not been nice. However I have now learnt to push the lid extra open to allow me to access the boot. It's not a biggie but it's inconvenient at times.
Overall CLA complaint... Back seats, I am 1.85 and I can't sit properly if I don't bend my back. If I don't I'll bump my head on the roof. Sad, cause I would buy this car.
Dislike #2, I agree its sluggish in comfort mode, I put it down to people that buy this car are aggressive on the pedal than, say someone that drives a Hyundai. So, even in comfort mode it still accelerates faster than a normal sedate driver off takes off at the lights
Point number 3 is only an opinion, Point number 4 with the boot, most cars like the Audi S3 has a large boot, buy a rubber mat to avoid slipping, also an opinion I get the same results with a SLK and it's boot is way smaller,
Wowzers!!! So every turbo ive owned has a turbo lag. I literally bought this car just because of its ass!! I love the rear. My seat belts dont knock around and if they doni havnt notice. I will pay attention next time i hop in. I have tubs in my boot for shopping, but ive needed that for every car not just my cla45 amg. Amazing how we all see things differently.
Well for me the fifth and i would say first is the totaly after market screen..but this is in every model.such a thing i find super bad althought i love this car
Brother trust me your face fit for Corolla why did you buy Mercedes look to your hair how you talking about it imagine you are in Corolla or Honda Civic with cup of coffee and working for Uber omg why damb ppl they have Benz also cla for women’s
The thing i hate the most about this car is that i will never be able to afford it
With that mindset yeah lol
you're not missing much, don't worry.
at the end of this year i will buy my first mercedes and it will be this one
ChibaInuforlife go fuck yourself for being happy in life
ChibaInuforlife me too. I’ll receive it tomorrow
Thought's on the "buttonfest" centre console?
What exhaust do you have?

+Jide Idowu thank you! I've not paid much attention to that, I'll definitely be looking out for it now!

+CHEN4X yes, there's a magnet which stops it from rattling, many people have pointed this out to me since this video..learn something new every day ey

+Abdul Kahar definitely! Looks like an after thought by the designers

Golf*.
The dudes probably upgraded to the newer version by now so this post is probably obsolete...

Or buy a cargo net for the boot!
I bought a cargo net on eBay for my CLA45 for next to nothing. They attach to the 4 chrome rings at either end of the boot floor. Its great!
Throttle response needs adaptation reset regularly

+Jon L Albee pretty much why I'm always in the s+ mode!
Is the legroom in the backseat a big issue? Looks like from the catalogues. Appreciate a response!
+Alfred Ho it's not massively cramped or anything, but bare in mind that this is basically an A class chassis so interior dimensions are almost the same
This car is not for you meybe, its for fun and fast ride;) you must sold this and buy Dacia Duster
And break your ass on a speedbump? bruh----
If you haven't tinted your tear lights yet you should consider like bug eye tint film, I think it would look great on your car.
+Matt Perez they've been tinted straight after this video haha
ahh gotcha haha
How about Throttle response is slow?
Seat looks like uncomfortable
Hi mate, do you realise that there is a magnet in the Recaro seat to hold the seat belt!
+David Pownall someone pointed that out to me in the comments as a result of this video haha
I acutally have the same problem seeing above my shoulder in my A class
First 1 minute is brutal with the child joke and I subscribed right away 😂 legend mate, brilliant video 🙌🏻
+Jordan Hughes haha thanks pal!
Do you find you get alot of attention in the cla45 since wrapping it etc? Is it a headturner?
+Pure and Lean since wrapping it, it does draw a fair amount of attention but I do think that's mainly down to the wrap - satin finishes are fairly unusual to see on cars on a day to day basis. good point, thanks for the great videos buddy, I think you have me sold! Funnily, the model I am looking at has been modded almost exactly like yours

follow me on instagram if you want to see my car - instagram.com/markworkman8888/?hl=en
+swdoctor the design of the boot area in general doesn't seem too well thought out at all, I agree
I also made a video on the 5 things I dont like about the CLA. Check it out on my channel!
Overall CLA complaint... Back seats, I am 1.85 and I can't sit properly if I don't bend my back. If I don't I'll bump my head on the roof. Sad, cause I would buy this car.
I don't like that the
drivers seat and steering wheel is on
the wrong side.
Robert Scott Maybe because the car is in the UK???
Maybe because it was a joke???
Robert the cars in uk are different the driver seats are on the right side in my country it's on the left side .
Robert Scott no it's literally on the Right side
Dislike #2, I agree its sluggish in comfort mode, I put it down to people that buy this car are aggressive on the pedal than, say someone that drives a Hyundai. So, even in comfort mode it still accelerates faster than a normal sedate driver off takes off at the lights
Get the wide body kit, it will help the back look at lot better
+TheSidekickking I'm not a big fan of crazy body kits, just how wide is it?
Are the seats comfortable????
+,,,,,,,, yes they are يزن ,,,,,,,,
Cool video, I really like your channel !
+Jakub Kalina thanks!
Point number 3 is only an opinion,
Point number 4 with the boot, most cars like the Audi S3 has a large boot, buy a rubber mat to avoid slipping, also an opinion
I get the same results with a SLK and it's boot is way smaller,
Appreciate what you got brother
Absolutely right. The comfort mode is terrible. I just can't not use the paddle shifts when overtaking.
Wowzers!!! So every turbo ive owned has a turbo lag. I literally bought this car just because of its ass!! I love the rear. My seat belts dont knock around and if they doni havnt notice. Ok, Dislike no #1. there is a magnet on the side of the passenger seat to secure the seatbelt buckle
great video bro ! keep it up ;)
+Cian thanks!
tbh, although the CLA AMG is nice, it feels almost sluggish to me.
Great vid 🤙🏽

Well for me the fifth and i would say first is the totaly after market screen..but this is in every model.such a thing i find super bad althought i love this car
