Moa was the Fourth Student Council President, Yui was Production chairman, Hana was Spirit Chairman and Yunano was Talk Chairman. Like 'Tabidachi no Hi ni', 'Aogeba Toutoshi' is based on a song that is often sung at graduation ceremonies in Japan.
Who's idea is was...? The SG "teachers". But they also made Yui the second-in-command-and-pretty-much-almost-equal to Moa. 😃 The real question is: is this the origin of the Metal Galaxy theme ?
This is MOA and YUI's graduation year. Personally I prefer reactors reacting without subtitles because they miss things because they are reading the subtitles. You can always go back and do the subtitles later. And Ewoks are they Star Wars creatures these look like. 🤘🦊🤘
I learned the other day originally in "Return of the Jedi", they were going to use Wookies (like Chewbaca), but decided to shrink them and EWOK is a rearrangement and subtraction from Wookie. :)
Yui was taller when SG started and Moa used her "secret weapon" to grow past Yui a year or so later: growth spurt. :-) Then Yui grew as well and almost grew as tall as Suzuka. Which is kind of a issue, because it disturbs the triangle formation in Babymetal. Which is why Su-metal has heals. As we all know the triangle formation was even broken years later... 😞

"仰げば尊し (Aogeba Totoshi)" is a song that is always sung at graduation ceremonies in Japanese schools since 19th, Meiji Era. I think the song title means like "seek teachings from and respect our teachers". The original song seems to be an old 19th century American song. Ken Ken, a popular and crazy musician (at 8:27), arranged it in a rock-pop style. At 7:40, Ewok has written on the blackboard with a travel guide book, that "日本が大好きなので、ぼくは宇宙からきました。( Nippon ga daisuki nanode, boku wa uchu kara kimashita. I love Japan, so I came here from outer space)". This is probably the video, the president of Tower Records Japan, Mr. Minewaki, freaking SG fan, cried when he watched this, right?, haha. He had also talked to the four girls about this MV in a stream video which he hosted on RUclips. I like them all. Btw, "Atarashii Gakko" has also released this original song as youth days song, "迷えば尊し (Mayoeba totoshi. Go astray, it is a noble thing)", a word play on the song's title. Thank you from Japan.

And the school building is an old wooden one in a countryside, that bcame now less common in Japan. And Moa is using a radio cassette player. So I guess, maybe that is why it has used a sepia filter to give us an image of their good old days and their good memories.
Moa was this year president, and Yui was pretty much in charge of the dance and set list. the others after they graduated said how Yui would help them one on one in their dance routines y'allshould watch the dance version of this song..

Part of the charm of Sakura Gakuin is in watching the girls grow and mature over their years with the group. The difference between Yui and Moa of 2010 and Yui and Moa of 2014 is quite striking.
The student council chairman of each year gets the lead vocals parts as well as the lead acting parts in Sakura Gakuin, that year it was the lovely Moa's turn, it must have been a difficult decision to choose between her and Yui who also would have been great in the role but I guess Moa tipped her out because she has a more outgoing personality. Yui was given the role of being in charge of productions so she chose set lists etc. for the years events. Unfortunately both girls missed a lot of Sakura Gakuin because of Babymetal and they both expressed regret that they were unable to be around more to help guide the younger members but they still made it to the important events. Su also had a similar problem to begin with in the first couple of years where she missed a lot of SG because she lived so far from Tokyo, which is why she only was in the heavy music club and the other girls participated in multiple clubs.
This is the group of ten, helmed by Moa and Yui. They would go on to graduate, along with Yunano and Hana, thus making room for the arrival of The Six. Maaya, Kano, Marin, Mirena, Momoko and Soyoka. Su, Moa and Yui will always be my favorites but after this year there was a shift in Sakura Gakuin. The Six and the subsequent arrival of the next three (Tsugumi, Momoe and Yuzumi) created a more cohesive and, dare I say it, more talented group of young ladies. It just gets better, is what I'm saying. Maaya is a powerhouse of positivity. Kano is a little, feisty thing that grows up to be competitive and competent. Marin is a sweetheart with empathy to rival Nene and Moa. Mirena wasn't around long enough for me to form an opinion of her beyond her smile and eyes. Momoko is Momoko, bad jokes and infectious smile included. Soyoka is the shy-seeming, introvert that is nothing of the sort. Momoe is the adorable assassin. "Awwww, isn't she sweet?" "She said 'what?'" Tsugumi and Yuzumi might be the best pairing SG has ever seen. Better than Yui and Moa? At this point in my journey, no, but they are rising fast the more I see. ("Yuzumin" "Tsugumin") *WINK* *WINK* I can't believe how into this shit I am. Who'd have thunk it? Keep your Kitsune up for SG. May they one day return under the tutelage of Headmistress Yui Mizuno. The last of Sakura Gakuin's annual graduation song, they stop doing it after this. Only "See you" and "My Graduation Toss" are used for their graduation ceremonies, 2013 graduation song "Capsule Scope" never stick, instead "Mikansei Silhouette" became a song they used for graduations form that year (Capsule Scope is very light-heart and uppity; with a lyric like "Overflowing with dreams, I dive into Niagara Fall" - not very graduation-like at all) Aogeba Toutoshi is very archaic of a song and never popular - furthermore the arranger Kenken (it's old song rearranged by him) got arrested for marihuana possession. So SG pretty much just retired the song.
