There is only one major problem with this theory; due to state law, once the deadline has been reached, a candidate cannot be replaced on the ballot. For some states, the deadline has passed, thus, Trump wins those Electoral Votes by default. One of these states in which the deadline has passed is the "swing state" of Wisconsin.

It would certainly make it harder, but there may be enough people that look at her as just an extension of the Obama admin that got us started in all this mess.
