The Gnarliest Line Yet

  • Gnarliest line I’ve ever done. The snow was absolutely awful, steepest slope I’ve ever ridden at a frightening 50 degree slope. Tons of exposure below making a fall VERY unforgiving.
Watching the footage back makes me wish I’d ridden better, but I was proud of my ability to get down safely and navigate the slope. The snow was INSANELY difficult to ride, completely frozen rained on pow.
I think I managed pretty well considering this was the first turns of the day and I hadn’t warmed up at all.

@@alexdegeburger1192 yea the snowpack is looking really rough. Cardrona’s conditions are solid right now if you can catch a bus out there!

Maybe an hour later it would have been slushy?

Nah the day was quite cold. It never slushed out. Also if the snow had fully slushed out I’d have felt less confident. Likely many rocks just under the surface and breaking thru a 6inch sun crust would have been more likely to make me fall. Now I know when it’s deep pow I can rip a sick line too 😁
