So the main point there is what Heeseung said..he chose members that suited the song which means he already knew that Jay would best fit Drive. To me Heeseung is observant always. He had a hard time choosing between Jake and Sunoo but that shows he knows what qualities each of them have. Even Jay said in the beginning that he learned aspects about leading from observing Heeseung. They make a good leadership team. No matter how Jay wanted to be in the "Flicker" team, I personally think he has the right vibe to do "Dive Into You". He has a lot of swag in him, and his coolness and his mannerism in the stage just make him fits being in the DIY team. I'm satisfied with his performance.
Going to watch last week's episode just to make up for this. Today's episode overall was just average, only exciting part was watching Jay effectively handle his team.
I just admire Jay's attitude. Some might found it too harsh but actually he is the most honest person in this show. He shows how mad and hurt he is with Heeseung without the attention to hurt or "attack" him. I hope everyone in this group could appreciate him more and learn about this mentality for the sake of the group.

Proud to say that I did chose the right person since the beginning. Don’t know how many times I said this but Jay is my bias. I firstly noticed his aura on the first episode, reason why I got interested on him. Little did I know that he has this attitude that u can’t help but admire him more. You will debut, Jay. You will!

So the main point there is what Heeseung said..he chose members that suited the song which means he already knew that Jay would best fit Drive. To me Heeseung is observant always. He had a hard time choosing between Jake and Sunoo but that shows he knows what qualities each of them have. Even Jay said in the beginning that he learned aspects about leading from observing Heeseung. They make a good leadership team. Heeseung gives me that RM vibe and Jay gives me that J-Hope vibe where you better hope he doesn't catch you mess up the choreo LOL. Jay better debut! Please let it happen!

I'm re-watching right now and Jay seriously never fails to leave me in awe. He's relentless, stubborn (in a good way), he takes pride because he knows what he can do, I mean???
