Best band to ever come out of austin, and I mean, born and raised Austinites. Rest In Peace Pat!! These songs are the sound track to a special time in Austins history. If you werent around in the 90’s or the first decade of the 21st century, Youll never understand what it means to see The Impossibles play on Emos outside stage. Even as a write this, the stage is still there. Rotting, dormant and empty. Where many great acts played as well. Now the whole music scene isnt centered downtown on red river. 2013 marks the end of many things which kept Austin’s local music scene intimate with the touring shows. Maybe things will get good again, maybe. Will always have this video.
Can you cut me a piece of wood from that stage for a souvenir so I can soak it with my tears and wish I saw the impossibles live at least once way back in 2002!
One of the greatest bands ever. They came out at the wrong time. The 3rd wave of Ska was dying when they first came onto the scene. When they released Return and changed their sound up Nu Metal and Boy Bands were dominating everything.
Another time , another life these guys would’ve been huge.
These guys...... like CCR when the beatles were dominating, so much talent but never truly "found". I would play in a band that remade these guys to pretend they are back!
Definitely
I often think about this. Same with Slowreader.
I will be lucky and find the gem in the trash! My heart was in the right place at the right place again!
easily could have been on tour with Fall Out Boy on their come up
Still one of my favorite bands ever.
Yup i agree ; pretty good ska music
i love this band. i know they never had any critical acclaim but i'll never ever forget this day and the music. it was the best show i had ever been to.
I had this DVD back in the day. I know 2 guys who went to this show. Love these guys.
This is one of those bands that you "found" and showed your friends to stoke them up!
Yep 😎👍
Someone had to do it

Craig is so ridiculously good. The bass lines are probably my favorite part of this incredible band
give em some more love
The best band. They never got enough credit.
I don't dont need to relive this, I already did and I am still alive. Thank you The Impossibles from Austin Texas.
I was lucky enough to make the trip down to Austin to see this show. I saw them 3 or 4 times in Lawrence, KS and every single time they played they were awesome, but this was by far the best show I have ever went to. Everybody knew the lyrics to all the songs, and the energy was through the roof, and they essentially played 2 shows. Me and my friends left drenched in sweat and dehydrated. Totally worth it!
Saw them just about every time they came to SoCal at chain reaction in anaheim. The energy at their shows was incredible. This makes me so nostalgic I feel like crying.
I’ve watched this all the way through at least 50 times in the past 17 years..
I feel that!
Over a hundred dude, not competing, just keep coming back it's so good.
outdoor stage at old Emo's on dirty six. Golden era of Austin music scene.
Love how the bassist friggen kills it on every song. He was jamming out!
One of the best bands ever. Great performance! Sad it was the end (at that time)....
Thanks, guys. Your songs have been with me through good times and bad times.
You did good.
I was at this show. When Craig throws the bass to Ross was so great in person. Jimmy playing Two sets was impressive as well. He is so amazing!
They say the show's over but I keep coming back.
I was so high on music, and these guys were my natural prescription to feeling normal.
Man I remember this band well. Had the cd and everything. The old Emo's , wow how many great and not so great bands were seen here. It was a different time for sure.
Dropkickpunk76 for me it will always be the good ol days
Saw the suicide machines there back in 05. It was cool then. Haven’t been back there since that time.
I'm very happy I was able to see The Impossibles live (jerseys and post-jerseys) back in the day. Great band! I've even saw Slowreader live once! Haha!
My son is 5 and going to grow up on this vid. So glad this moment in history was captured.
Such a great show
Lions Park...The Gober Party House...Great times were had watching The Impossibles perform in Temple, TX! Thanks for the memories!
This was so good live and Eric Huebers' team did such a great job this video takes me right back to that day
Really innovative chord progressions with catchy melodies. My favorite combination, so rarely achieved.
A rare band of talent that was underrated big time, with those who are not tone deaf!
dude check out the band "ovens" if you dont know them already, they should be right up your alley!! oh and yeah im 5 years late but whatever
@@ExplodingTacoCat is this the band your talking about? Https://Ovens.bandcamp.com/album/s-t-cd
@@joeleagles5491 yeah dawg
I thought that they were never gonna get out of hiatus. I've been waiting for ten years! So happy there back!!
hands down one of the best bands. caught them every single time they came through.
miss this band, forever and ever.
I miss The Impossibles. 😢
thats impossible, so do i.
My pants are wet and its because of the same reason.
The things id do to see them live..
Great band! Keep playing this awesome music! I really hope to see The Impossibles in a live show.
Cheers from Mexico!
Here I sit, my life's a model kit. I burned the instructions now the pieces don't fit.
I eat spaghetti-o’s, turn on the stereo and keep in mind my best case scenario-- 🤘🏼
Happy Impossibles-Day everyone! Still, Anthology is my #1 favorite album.
This band should have everything reissued and back in print. It is a damn shame the folks behind the scenes at whomever has control over their music do not give it light again. Always loved their fusion of punk, ska, and emo. File under: Essential!
Glad I was there for both of the shows that day!
You lucky ....!
Got to see them live in Deep Ellum Dallas Tx in 2001. They are so good. Miss them. 🖤🤘🏻
Trees or The Church?
I'm pretty sure I went to every show they played in Dallas from 99-2002...
And I was at this show at Emo's.
God I miss that band...
@@MrLivebynight I believe it was at another place I know it wasn’t either of the two mentioned. I think it’s been closed down or turned into another place now. It was so long ago.
@@eulesssucks I just recall those two in 2001 in particular, but it could have been somewhere else - I don’t even remember the names of half of those places anymore!
Trees is still there, but not much else.
I can, and do watch this over and over...I fucking love it every time!
i loooove shows like this .. intimate and just crazy fun ... dope
I have listened to this every day for weeks now.
oh yeah that happened
This is the best video ever
I remember these guys coming don to LA back in 96. They were really cool guys and that first album was actually really good. This was a great video to find.
I've never been more proud to be a Texan

Emo's in Houston! Hell yeah!
Wow another clever and original response, you should write a book man, I'm telling you, I have no idea how you come up with those awesome responses of yours all the time.
I can't complain; lost less than gained
32:18 almost combusted from that climax
Ya they came to Anaheim once in the 90s. Really good show.
14:37 I guess it wasn't a very good surprise attack if he could see it coming from a mile away
so fucking good. god
hell yeah!
Get It + Got It + Good
Damn, I love the impossibles! I remember first hearing them on a ska compilation cd called Skarmeggedon Volume II, back in '97. They've been part of almost every playlist I've compiled since then. Wish they'd get back together and rock our eardrums once more with a new album.
I remember that! Their song "Widowmaker" was on that compilation, which IMO is one of their best, and it got me hooked on them. Great band.
GozerTheGozerian Yes! Widowmaker was the first song I heard by them. Great memory!
Fueled by Ramen needs to exercise this demon(band).
LIKEEEEEEE
I just got slingshoted back to my senior year in high school. Wtf
it sounds like...the get up kids..alittle..i love it!
Connecticut, off their last album: Return
Best song they ever made
food ole skateboard days in Austin at emos 6 the street
I'll never understand how this band wasn't massive at the time. Maybe they were just a little too late and a tiny bit to ska.
I'm fucking dying
8:08 For my own convenience.
808 joke, haha, funny
thank you me from 5 years ago lol
@@carstereobandits LMAO
Lets get a cover band going!

fuck that crowd is amazing.
Will there be another show? I am from Michigan and will drive too hell and back for a live show. I have been listening to The Impossibles for years now and will continue to keep them alive.
They played a few reunion shows in Austin about 4 years ago, for the 10 year reunion. Maybe they'll do more at 15 or 20?

Whats the second song?
Connecticut.
what a long video:)
14?
21? wait, where the fuck is 18!?
I think they fixed alot of this live performance in the studio after the fact
Jason Cummings Having seen plenty of vids of this performance on yt over the years I'd have to agree, might be FBR doing some touch ups to release it, I don't know, but still, the bass player on 'disintegration'.
+Jason Cummings Yep they don't usually release on dvd without fixing a bit.
+Jason Cummings especially in a small venue like that, there would be so much more crowd noise if it weren't fixed.
That's okay, because live is live and understood as live because it is live.
