I don't know what to think about this one. First off, hats off for such amazing editing, especially for such a low subscriber channel this is not to be expected. Also, judging from the arpeggios and your animenz cover, you are really capable at playing challenging techniques. On the other hand though, you should really intensively practice on pacing. I really don't like to get judgemental over other covers, everyone should have his own interpretation and I also see my own covers (very) far from perfect. This however, feels just a bit too much off in rhythmics and pacing.
Maybe you can try to hear the original song or Theishter's cover more often before attempting your version. I sometimes also play with headphones while practicing - not to 100% mimic someone else's style but to get a grasp of how the rhythm and pacing should sound like, at least the direction. Also you could try to practice with metronome more often. I don't really like lecturing other people because I'm not really better myself and I hope you don't see this as a critique from above but rather some tips to get most out of your potential. I subscribed to your channel and look forward for future covers :)

Hey! Thank you for your advices! This is indeed definitely the most important aspect for me to improve. Pretty sure that the root cause is me being too tensed. I’m working hard on relaxing and being more confident. I can already see some overall improvements each day, notably on rhythm but also developing the ability to change texture of note sound (thanks to improved confidence in pressing notes from being more relaxed).
Again thank you for the positive feedback, and will do my best to improve on next covers! 😁

@@alexkuhn Great to hear, that you don't feel insulted by my critique but do your best to improve :) Yes, I also noticed that it felt very tense. It's hard for me to explain for me in English but maybe you can check if your shoulders are cramping while playing. That is what I most commonly notice on myself and others when they're playing which causes the piece to feel tense. It's important to fully relax your shoulders but also of course your wrist. If it's the excitement when recording, try recording multiple tries with one shot. You quickly will get used to a camera recording.
PS: Also an obvious great tip is to play more Theishter pieces at first. If you are not an absolute expert Animenz pieces might also make your playing style tense as his sheets don't leave much room for relaxation if you know what I mean. Theishter's pieces are a bit easier and leave more room for interpretation which helps to develop your own playing style.

Haha, that means it has its intended effect! Theishter (the arranger) also makes this finger movement, so that's also a nod to watchers of the original video 😁

In my oppinion the arr by animenz is better than by Theishter one. However nice video ❤

Animenz's arrangement is more faithful to the original soundtrack, but I think Theishter's arrangement transcribes better the emotial vibes on the piano ☺️
