I think Yhwach means weak mentally. From what I understand, Yamamoto when he was younger would seek victory no matter the cost and fought practically rather than honorably trying to shoulder everything by himself.

I got insane chills when old man Yamma blazed through the skies. I felt his conviction. I don’t doubt that had him and Unohana been a tag team in Bankai, they would have been more than enough to cut down the enemy altogether.
Unfortunately because of how ridiculously powerful Yamamoto's Bankai is, tag teams are out of the question cause, anyone without a constant defensive barrier would turn to ash. The only one who has the potential to tag team with Yama at this point is Ichigo (by use of Blut Vene and Shinigami/Hollow offense), Aizen (Immortality and incredibly dense Reiatsu) or Toshiro (if he manages to take his Bankai to Yama's level...we'll have to wait like another 2000 years for that)
