    If you're a beginner, do not waste your time with learning traps. Learn basic fundamentals. Learn from mistakes. Get beaten 10 times in a row. Get beaten 100 times in a row. You'll get stronger. More methodical.

      @lionleochessofficial 6 дней назад +3

      You should learn traps, but don't rely on the traps after all your opponents could actually go into trap and because you never seen trap you miss it and sometimes this can lead down less advantage or the other side gets big advantage

      @@lionleochessofficial I'd say the only trap you need to be aware of is Scholar's Mate. And Chessscape tells you exactly how you can counter it. It won't even work on 1000+ elo.

      @@syndrac6254 Actually, traps have tatics in them, and I am pretty sure some puzzles use traps to show different tactics and themes. After all, the Greek gift sacrifice itself is a trap.

    Common mistake. When you see a pawn taking the E4 square, Are you really going to do Knight F6? Of course the opponent is gonna push to E5 pressuring your knight. This is how your opponent thinks. "Me see horsey, Me kick horsey."

    0:10 Nf6 when there is a pawn on e4? next trap please.
    0:22 Next trap please, I don't play d4 after my opponent play c6, I play d3 to set up a trap that 99% of my opponent falls for it.(I am not joking, it is really 99%)
    7:07 not me, I am a very aggressive player, but I also very good in endgame. I also don't bring my queen out before I develop my knight, bishop and castle, well I may or may not left those queen side pieces undeveloped for a while but I knows when to bring more pieces. I am 1400
    7:46 opening your king for your opponent to attack? next trap please, I don't like dumb traps. I only play those traps that is not obvious to your opponent what am I doing.
    8:35 next trap please, when your opponent pawn is that advanced, it is super dangerous, dont ignore them
