I find it interesting how different these guys view firearms given where they live and that environment. The people in my community are not at all cavalier but very much casual about carrying guns, because people around here do spend a lot of time in the woods, and hunting is big for sure, but when I carry its just in case I encounter a bear or a rabid animal and get attacked. I think of it like driving a car, in that it has the potential to be lethal if you don't know what you're doing, very easy to be safe if you do know. Also nice to be strapped when there's an escaped convict murderer on the run in the same woods as you walking your dog.
