@MatthewSilasSedgwick Dude, that hit me pretty hard. Almost like an inverse comedy. Subversion of expectations but in a morose, punch you in the dick kinda way. Heavy stuff. I like anything that can put me there. I could smell that parking garage. I could hear the cicadas. I feel like I know the characters as though I've met them and been in their shoes. _That's_ what does it for me. I was struggling to make the joke but I'm glad I settled on something so obscure and ridiculous. I almost went with 'Earth Girls are Easy' but I figured I'd bring it up a decade in hopes that someone got it. Awesome writing, Matt. And you've definitely got a knack for voicing your, and others stories in a really awesome way. Let's see if you get _this_ reference; 👍👍
My immediate reaction is to ask if you have any more short stories or writing available to read or listen to? I had to wait until I had a space of time where I could concentrate fully on this. I have to avoid saying anything specific in order to avoid spoiling this for any future viewer. You did a terrific job in balancing descriptive prose and characterisation, wrapping both in well thought-out structure and momentum and punctuating the story with dry and black humour. So I'll definitely be re-visiting this story. Thank you.
I highly respect your opinion and critiques. I was very curious to know what you thought. Thank you brother. I've been writing something on and off in the background but it'll be much longer
@@MatthewSilasSedgwick I'll look forward to that, if and when you post it on YT. I'd like to comment more about 'The Stranger', but don't want to spoil it in any way for anyone else.
@UniversalExportsMedia Trying to find you. I am looking for a specific recording that helps me sleep at night. I have not slept well for days since I lost your recording. How can I get the audio file I lost? I don't want to name the work but it was an amazing audiobook that had your voice and others doing multiple characters. I would love to support your hard work and get that audio. I never realized how much I depend on that recording but now that I don't have it, I miss it soooo much! Your voice calms my mind and allows me to sleep. Ps. I love this story.
Oh! Ohhh! They said the title in the story! They did that in Roseanne too. _Classic..._
@eamonia lol. Not the best author but it was my first.
