Hey Colin I must admit that I have always enjoyed your videos and find them very educational. That said, I found the switching back and forth on multiple cameras very awkward. Multiple cameras would be great but less switching would make it ideal. Keep up the good work and thanks.
Colin, I was excited to see Eric and you collaborating on a sign!! I consider you and him two of my favorite woodworking teachers. I am a subscriber of both of y'all's channels and don't miss a video!! This is a great day for a follower of two awesome instructors!!!!
Colin, my recommendation (not that you asked, but...) is to request another sign from Dave and Eric to travel with and hang the current one prominently on the wall behind your work bench. Love the use of multiple cameras. Just need to practice using them to make it more natural. Was a bit distracting during the beginning of the video. Thanks so much for providing all this content. Looking forward to another collaboration video with Pai.
A great video and topic Colin. It's pretty cool to see how they just roughly gouge out the waste and use it to great effect to enhance the raised letters. Derek
Nice collab video! That sign looks fantastic, and makes the process seem less intimidating than I had previously thought. :D Reading through some of the comments, it seems that the two camera angles didn't go over too well, although I think I get what you were going for! I feel like you can still make it work, and a brief pause when switching cameras and longer periods of looking at the same camera would make it more natural seeming and yet still visually grabbing. It might make for a good transition between different topics or different segments of the video as sort of a visual indicator that it's a different segment, too! Best of luck!
Love the episode, but what program or programs are used to best make the printing or design. I guess photoshop but too expensive. What are the options?
The two cameras would work, But your doing it to often. Try changing angles when you change subjects of the conversation. Catches interest from the viewer but doesn't draw to the conversation. Just a thought
Colin, you know I love your videos, but the camera switching is too much. Other than that, great video. By the way, I do subscribe to Dave and Eric. Thanks.
Whew....glad it wasn't just me that didn't like the camera work! As always I love the video and content, but the bouncing back and forth between cameras made me dizzy. The concept is great, just not every 10 seconds. Thanks Colin
I just don't know what the others are talking about. I think that you should use a lot more cameras and switch camera angles several times a second instead of every 2 seconds. Maybe try putting your work station, work bench and all, on a rotating platform turning at about 30 RPM with stationary and rotating cameras around the room and on the spinning platform. Also some cameras looking straight down from the ceiling at your work. Maybe try doing one of your woodworking videos in a blacked out room with a strobe light, that would be funny. Or try using bright colored lights that keep changing colors as they move around the room and with fireworks in the background. That would certainly get people's attention. You could do a video of the build of your new set. You do have lots of very good information in your videos. Keep the best & pitch the rest. Best regards
Colin: Like your videos but as others have noted, quit the side to side routine as it's very distracting & lends nothing to the dialog at all. Just my opinion. Otherwise, the content of the video was great............. Steve
Camera angles, LOL. Can you add one for a top view and one that sneaks up behind you? Maybe you have so many followers they can't all fit in one camera.
just a video production note... don't match your shots. two cameras can be a great idea if used properly. don't cut just to cut have a reason for that next shot. I have to agree with the previous comments, your present use of the second cam is disruptive and confusing. Great channel and great videos though. Thanks.
Please please no more twin camera's I love your videos and have learned a lot from you and want to learn more. But the 2 camera's really is too much. Great try with them but just the 1 camera ok.
Did you get a new camera? I'm too dizzy to watch this... Seriously, longer shots between camera switching or use the one camera for close-up and the other for everything else.
Sorry Colin, this style of camera editing does not work. No problem with picture in picture of a close up demo, while talking etc, but this is very distracting. BUT I have just got some gouges to do a few signs etc. so that part is ok.
I watch this Chanel continuously, it is great !!,
Not liking the two cameras when talking to be honest.
It's fanzy :) .
Yea, what he said. Little to much back and forth. But it's not going to make me hit the unsubscribe button. :-)
A little confusing...
too much camera change
totally agree
I love Oldave100 happy to my 2 favorite woodworking shows joined forces. Eric is an amazing carver.

Please do not switch cameras as often as you did in the video next time or also only use 1 camera
Agreed. I had to skip some stuff because the video was making me sick.
Thanks a lot for sharing this. God bless you.
I needed Dramamine for the first two minutes. Love your videos, but switches back and forth were distracting.
Colin, I like the 2 cameras, half as many transitions would have been plenty. Very nice sign will serve you well. Thanks for sharing.
Why are you using 2 camera's instead of just one? It looks a little strange
I have the same problem, my head starting to spin with all the cuts
@BIG DUCK 69 relax
Hi those guys are amasing!! They come across very natural with lots of great knowledge. I am now an eager subsriber:) Thank you vor sharing! !!
Thank you Henning!!
Love your videos...hate the cutting between the 2 cameras.
very nice thanks for sharing been wanting to et into sign making
A great video and topic Colin. It's pretty cool to see how they just roughly gouge out the waste and use it to great effect to enhance the raised letters.
Derek
Instead of spray paint, what do you use?
Collin, love your channel, I've learn so much...but I think in this segment, there is too much switching between the cameras
Cool, subbed them, looking forward to watching this series! 🤓
Thank you!!!

Wayne, I use Corel Draw but it's kind of pricey as well. INKSCAPE is a free download and works well. Hope this helps, Eric
Just superb.
The switching of cameras made this difficult to watch. Changing the POV is good but it switched too often and made the video a bit too much for me.
You need to sell that second camera!
05:57 is the start of what you came for ("How to Make a Sign").
The two cameras would work, But your doing it to often. Try changing angles when you change subjects of the conversation. Catches interest from the viewer but doesn't draw to the conversation. Just a thought

Camera 1: "You can actually cut your own hand....................."
Camera 2: ".....signs if you've got a router."
Just checking again what kind of paint you using to stop it from bleeding.
You'll find the trick is to seal the wood first before you paint, with a clear coat will prevent bleeding with most paints. Thanks for watching!
Clear coat of what
the camera cuts back and forth between the 2 angles way to much!
You always make the best woodworking videos, but quit switching cameras!!
😂 reading the comments about the switching between cameras
ya... not comfortable to watch the two cameras...
I also have to say that the two cameras are a little bit annoying
2 cameras is hilarious.
What's up with the angle changing makes you dizzy.
Dizzy from switching back & forth between cameras. Other than that, great video!
that not the same bit(s) that the 2 camera guy shows? what in the dark stuff coming out of that aerosol can? Compressed pigments of some sort?
I agree, 1 camera !!
Nice work. Definitely keep the two cameras, BUT only cut about 1/10th of what you did in this video.
Colin, you know I love your videos, but the camera switching is too much. Other than that, great video. By the way, I do subscribe to Dave and Eric. Thanks.
Thank you for the sub...
The different camera angles are unnecessary and make it hard to watch
Whew....glad it wasn't just me that didn't like the camera work! As always I love the video and content, but the bouncing back and forth between cameras made me dizzy. The concept is great, just not every 10 seconds. Thanks Colin
you must have gotten another camera or you're practicing how to edit. very distracting though. sorry not liking the two angles.
Clear coat of what

You do have lots of very good information in your videos. Keep the best & pitch the rest.
Best regards
Please only use 1 camera
The quick camera angle shifts are too distracting and busy ..
I appreciate the effort but no need to switch cameras without a reason to do so.
Colin: Like your videos but as others have noted, quit the side to side routine as it's very distracting & lends nothing to the dialog at all. Just my opinion. Otherwise, the content of the video was great............. Steve
1 camera please!
Camera angles, LOL. Can you add one for a top view and one that sneaks up behind you? Maybe you have so many followers they can't all fit in one camera.
Not digging the two camera thing. Looks kinda silly.
Yeah the 2 cameras really distracting.
Good information - Suggestion : Use one camera - the back and forth between shots is distracting from your message.
just a video production note... don't match your shots. two cameras can be a great idea if used properly. don't cut just to cut have a reason for that next shot. I have to agree with the previous comments, your present use of the second cam is disruptive and confusing. Great channel and great videos though. Thanks.
I didn't notice 2 camera angles until I looked at the comments. All of a sudden everyone knows everything about stuff. ...
Truth!
Dude you are making me dizzy
Please please no more twin camera's I love your videos and have learned a lot from you and want to learn more. But the 2 camera's really is too much. Great try with them but just the 1 camera ok.

whats with thew two cameras??? how annoying can that be?
Pick a camera and stick to it you made me dizzy
Maybe was a good video but is really distracting the cameras moving soooo much. One cameras is more attractive and less distracting... :(
Carmera 1, Now Camera 2, Now 1, Now 2! , Now 1, Now 2!Now 1, Now 2!Now 1, Now 2!Now 1, Now 2!Now 1, Now 2!Now 1, Now 2!
Why the back and forth? Very distracting and detracts from the viewing experience.
'The reason I don't use spray paint' he says, as he's using spray paint. ??!
I'm not using spray paint. I'm using a Marsh Spray Stencil Ink. A big difference when you're spaying wood. Hope this clears it up. Thanks, Eric
Yep, he doesn't say what spray he's using so forces you to ask. Bush league.
Sorry Colin, this style of camera editing does not work. No problem with picture in picture of a close up demo, while talking etc, but this is very distracting. BUT I have just got some gouges to do a few signs etc. so that part is ok.
So many subs they don't fit in one camera.
Don’t like the two cameras either. Gives me a headache.
...the constant chuckling and guffawing... just talk... there's nothing humorous in the dialogue... sigh
You looking back and forth at the different cameras makes me sea sick 🤮
I thought I would learn something from this video. Didn’t!
You're going to hurt your neck, shut down one of your cameras.
Dude, almost all that talks are unnecessary. I like you videos but I can hardly tolerate them till the end.
Bad choice for camera work on this one, many more like it and I will unsubscribe. Total waste of time.
Stop with the switching
Sure did not earn a lot with this video.
quit moving your head
