lol You believe these bot on social media lmao. Don't think Intel is stupid enough to make a cpu that they advertise as much cooler and STRONGER IPC get less gains lol. Intel would die right then and there on release.
So a 5% loss in performance for a 25% reduction in power usage. This generation is so underwhelming. I am very curious how this is going to match up against the 9950X3D
From the leaks 9950X3D isn't that different either when compared to the 7000x3d. I think we just have the same next gen CPU from 2 companies. But it's not a big deal if you don't run 1080P gaming or eSport title. Because if I use 4090 I think I never play any games in 1080p anyway lol
raptor lake and raptor lake refresh are death traps and 285k doesn't look like a worthwhile upgrade to change motherboard for it. i wouldnt buy a am5 board eather since zen 5 is is not much better in games than zen 4 and practically on par with intel in performance. so basicly the cpu market is fucked and i'd advise to wait for something decent to come out
the Ultra 9 285K is not for "Gamers" its beefy for games but its for youtubers and streamers it also has tech in it to utilize features in the next generation of GPUs which will use AI built into the GPU to make sure you got 60+ FPS in what ever game you play
at the end of the day they both have max p cores to 5,7 the ks 14900 max boost is 6.2 but i bet floats at 5.9 and the kf will be 200Mhz slower just like the ultra. intel has pulled the specs from their site on the 14900 chips
GODDAMNIT LOL did intel release a new chip? i'm lost now. if the 9900k was the flagship for 9th gen, and if 14900k was the flagship of 14th gen, then what's the CURRENT flagship chip?
Would love to see these results at unlimited power setting. My 14900K was using 350 watts so, I wonder what the 285K uses and what performance it could get with unlimited power set, a small overclock and with some nice fast CUDIMM memmory at maybe 8000MT/s.
No still i9 14900k is the best, in performance Wise and money wise. Intel ultra just change the name and design and price. go better in 14900k. thank me later.✌✌
@@SYNDRONE don't talk out of ur ass im using 14900k for 8 months not a single crash or issue and on top of that it performs better than this new CPU plus i get 50-60C while gaming...and with new BIOS updates it's fine..problem were clueless clowns who runned cpu on 100C for months and than wonder why it fries
just undervolt 14900k and you get same 25% less power draw anyways , fps gonna be same , so what are these new intel cpus ??? just underclocked 14th gen and without HT , ok ......... no good , total MeH..............
What I just can’t understand is that the 285K shows faster single and faster multi core speeds in benchmarks but then in games it worse?? I would understand this since games are almost never perfectly optimised for using all the CPU performance inn the best possible way, hence Intel APO.. And so it would make sense that this CPU might actually perform like 10-20 percent faster in games that would be optimised for multi core usage and so the Forza one makes sense but then again the Cyberpunk one doesn’t make sense at all! That one is supposed to be greatly optimize for using all cores since a patch a while ago but it performs worse what gives. I wonder how it will perform in the next MSFS 2024 because that one is said to improve multithreading. Anyway someone explain to me how a CPU can be faster in single and multi core performance in most benchmarks and productivity tasks but worse in gaming 🤷♂️ Seems like a software issue to me idk
Because 1080p it's perfect to test CPUs, if u test it on 1440p or 4K u won't see any difference 'cause it's all GPU work. In 1080p however, the GPU goes to second floor (cause 1080 isn't a great graphic to render) and in first floor there's the CPU
A large majority of gamers still play at 1080p. Also, for a CPU test, 1080p is going to stress the CPU more than higher resolutions as they're more GPU bound.
something doesn't add up, it consumes on average about 25.5% less power but the temperatures are nearly identical for both
285k is getting used 10-15% more
We have GPU BOTTLENECK 🤣🤣

@@sofikislam1624 ur blind
power efficiency my friend, electrical components always generate heat, better efficiency reduce power draw and temperatures
@@sofikislam1624 It is used more because there is no multithreading on cores anymore i think

Both companies have disappointed this lineup. AMD even more so given its current reputation as a consumer friendly company.
love to see 285k with 10000 cudimm vs 14900k 8600.
only cudimm memory can somehow save this generation
hmm they said the 285k is about 10 degrees cooler whiel gaming, which cooler are u using?
It's got a hotspot that's more up and they changed the position of the sensor iirc.
yea that was what i think
Ну как сказали так и вышло более энерго эффективные форза 5 просто технический сбой выпьем витаминов за свои 14900 )
I have a 12900k rn, should I upgrade to a 14900k or the Ultra 9 285k?
Non of them. Upgrade ur monitor to 4k.
ultra would be good upgrade, esp if you can overclock

Wait for ultra 300 series
where is the improvement?? 40w less just for get worst performance?? and -3c less? is serious intel??
its noticeably different than 14gens at default, w less power, but true not smth you should worry if you already have a 14700k
the Ultra 9 285K is not for "Gamers" its beefy for games but its for youtubers and streamers it also has tech in it to utilize features in the next generation of GPUs which will use AI built into the GPU to make sure you got 60+ FPS in what ever game you play
i dont really think youtubers nor streamers would need a good cpu (instead a gpu with good encoder)
En teoría cual debería ser mejor?
what was the clock speed on these cpus?

14900k winner 🎊 🎉
I see some other test on other pages and new intel cpu ist more strong i. 4k.. taje a look test in 4k !!!

think it can 6ghz all cores at 200w, core boost isnt really oc and reliable, all core fixed oc still and will be better for max fps
is the new cpu better than i9 14900k?

its aiming for gaming specifically, with good oc capability and less cores like usual intel highends
If these are are legit, This is pretty bad for intel x3d been getting better pwr consumption for years at higher FPS 😢
The AMD lineup this generation is just as disappointing as Intel. Don't make this black and white.

so yo save around 30-40 watts, and cpu usage 10-15% more hmmmmm what u think? 🤔
theyre worth to buy
Why intel is doing nonsense e core stuff in desktop, hampering the performance its alwas better 1 p core tha 2 e core
bro 8P Cores for gaming which is more than enough and you have extra 12 or 14 for other stuff maybe you want editing or something like that

why 1080 p?

because i don't know😂
WHo tf benchmark on 1080p nowadays
This guy right here 1080 p with hdr and antialiasing and 244hz is all u need
It’s to stress the cpu, this is a cpu benchmark not a gpu benchmark any higher resolution it’ll put the load on gpu.

You obviously don't know how the cpu gaming benchmark works. It's sad to see this reply repeated. This is not a gpu benchmark.
