Those locos goes under the serial Sr1 and were manufactured by Novotjerkasskyj elektrovozostroytelnyj zavod in Kaukasia, USSR, during the time between 1972 - 1985, but they are going to be replaced very soon, starting in 2014. :)
Nice to see Tampere Railway Station in 2012. I moved to Tampere in October of that year, and I think this footage was filmed in September...maybe in August?
@@lorirocks777 Aah, in May, ok. It looks like it's a bit rainy in the video, the plants aren't that green, and people are wearing more clothes, so I presumed it was the beginning of autumn.
Interesting train traffic at that station. I've never seen those freight locos before. Who is manufacturing those freight locos? Thumbs up! :) Greetings Mega
good video, i enjoy seeing those red liveries on trains once again in my life, thank you
The first clip is in Riihimäki...as mentioned. Quite much action in Tampere and plenty of versatile colors in the locos and cars
Are there any red carriages or locomotives left?
@@lorirocks777 I was at Helsinki Railway Station, and I don't remember seeing any red trains.
@@BlueRockEye some Sr1 locomotives are still red
The sound that the Sr2 makes when it departs sounds awesome for some reason.

They were made in Russia.. I'm not sure what the name of the manufacturer is though. Thanks for the comment :)
Greetings from Switzerland
