BMW E39 520D 0-200 km/h Acceleration

The car is stock, exept for an EGR delete. Manual transmission, of course. Running on 225/45R17 studded winter tyres.
Sorry about the wobbly angle. The camera was mounted on the steering wheel and the road was a bit curvy.

How come 0-100 is 9sec, even though the factory stats tell that It's supposed to be 10.6sec?

The first small portion of road was slightly downhill, that's why.

Get it tuned, those 2.0 diesels can go for 170hp totally safe.
My dad has 318d e91 touring (it's the 2.0) and it's been tuned to 183hp by the previous owner, and it's pretty fast, bmw says the 163hp versions do the 0-100 in 8.3s so I guess it does 8.1-8.2 on 183hp.

I was going to give it a tune but never got around to it before selling. But the tune I was gonna get would give it 170hp and 380nm with an improved torque- and powercurve as well. Probably makes a huge difference in both performance and feel, yes.

It's a 318d 2008 (136hp stock.) that has been tuned to 183, on diesels it's easy just give it a bit more boost.
So obviously it doesn't match with bmw statistic since it's not stock.

Gabz Media Yes it does a huge difference, compared to the 163hp 120d we had before it's way faster even tho it's only 20hp more, because the torque is much different.

The numbers are wrong. You cannot understand how many seconds 0/100 is by changing gear early before reaching 5000 rpm at the end of each gear
