We have a lot of Mennonite/Amish greenhouses where I live. I get my giant mums for $4 a piece and they last me all season. I live in the Finger Lakes area of NY. I water my mums everyday and fertilize them with fish fertilizer about once a month.

The porch looks so pretty, the furniture in place of the bench is a good swap (although the bench was nice too) I love that blanket, you can actually see how soft it is when you were fluffing it to place on the chair. Love your front porch! I used to have the same problem with my mums dying every year but then I learned last year that mums will only bloom for two weeks and then die. So it wasn’t me! It’s just what they do. So last year I bought them later in the season and made sure that all the flower buds were closed to get the longest lasting bloom time and it went so much better!

Because we can't always have a candle burning outside, I use the plugins from Bath and Body Works on my front porch so it always smells really good out there.
